E.R. Schiffahrt historically focused on container vessels, the company diversified into offshore in 2006. For this purpose E.R. Offshore was founded

KAI NAUMANN Managing Director, E.R. Offshore Kai Naumann is responsible for the areas of finance and technology. In addition to his commercial duties, he manages employees both on land and at sea. He started his career as an internal auditor with RWE Dea AG
As a joint venture auditor, he then worked on a large number of international mergers, in cooperation with other international oil and gas companies
In 2004 he was appointed Senior Asset Analyst on the Group’s portfolio management team
Most recently, in the capacity of CFO, he was instrumental in establishing the RWE Offshore Logistics Company GmbH, Hamburg.
WILLEM DEKKER Managing Director, E.R. Offshore Willem Dekker has 23 years of experience in the offshore and shipping business. He started his career in 1991 at the Royal Nedlloyd Group in
Rotterdam. Within Nedlloyd Lines (later P&O Nedlloyd) he was responsible for the chartering of container vessels as well as the procurement of new container vessels.
In 2003, Mr Dekker joined E.R. Schiffahrt where he was in charge of Fleet Management, Newbuildings and Procurement before he became a member of E.R. Schiffahrt’s Management Board responsible for business development.

Early 2006 E.R. Offshore enters the offshore market by its group ordering six UT755 PSV vessels from STX Europe, Norway
November 2006 Erck Rickmers Group forms
a 50/50 joint venture with the Norwegian OSM Maritime Group, managing eight PSVs ordered by the group
End of 2006 The company’s group purchases
three modern secondhand PSVs which the company then manages
February 2007 E.R. Offshore opens its new
head office in Hamburg from where it now manages the day-to-day operations of its offshore vessels
2007 E.R. Offshore’s group orders
additional PSV and AHTS vessels to add to E.R. Offshore’s fleet
June 2008 The first two offshore newbuilds, the platform supply vessels, "E.R. Aalesund" and "E.R. Stavanger", are named at Aker shipyard in Norway
September 2008 E.R. Group acquires all remaining company shares of OSM Schiffahrt GmbH & Cie. KG of the previous 50:50 joint venture with OSM Norway. OSM Schiffahrt is renamed E.R. Offshore GmbH & Cie. KG
