• FMD3 installed– fully HW tested

• FMD2 installed– initially HW tested– Full testing with miniframe

Geometry

Calibration

• 2 types of calibration necessary– Pedestals– Gains

• Gains taken in standalone run– Procedure implemented on FE Firmware– Injects known charge into pre-amplifiers

• Pedestals can be done 2 ways– Standalone run with no beam– In beam run with past-future protection

Calibration procedure

• Pedestal and Gain Finders written for standalone runs– Ped. - normal run, no beam– Gain - special run– Not in Aliroot– Need info from DCS

• Fx. Oversampling

– Need DCM from CDB– Possibly send peds to FEE

Shuttle

• Fetch files from FXS(s) and put in OCDB• Interact with DAQ and DCS networks

– Not clear how to get info from DCS FE DB

• Procedure depends on new RCU Firmware

Other Open Tasks

• EVE Display– Stands as open task (because we didn’t do it)– Was this implemented by someone else?

• Digit Quality Assurance– Don’t know what should be done here - need input

• Survey Data Format– Only needed for FMD1– Will be done early next year

• HLT output– FMD has no HLT output

Planning

• Main goal is to prepare for dress rehearsal– Prioritize tasks based on this criterion

• Automatic procedures get high priority– For offline shuttle is most important

• Manpower– C. Holm must work on Ph.D. thesis until Jan.– Offline work hopefully to be done by current

research assistant (prospective Ph.D. student)
