All of this is Sardinia Region, that we want to thank for host this edition of the IBSA Showdown World Championships, one of the most important international event of the Ibsa calendar.

To our friend Sandro Di Girolamo, Italian Federation visually impaired and blind President, that without his contribution this event would never have been organized, goes a warm greeting and a sincere thanks. As is right and proper give the right tribute to the Sardinia Region and the Municipality of Olbia for the support.

A special thanks goes to IBSA, the referring International Federation, with which an important path of promotion of Showdown and sport for blind people is underway nationwide.

Geovillage Sport Wellness & Convention Resort offers full board treatment, so all participants will have breakfast, lunch and dinner there.

6) Participation Fee

Regular Package:Participation fee from 30th September to 6th October 2019 is 720,00 €.

It includes:

Accommodation (double or triple room). Participation fee from 30th September to 6th

October 2019 IN SINGLE ROOM is 900,00 €. Full board (including water during the meals) from Monday 30th Sept. dinner to

Sunday 6th Oct. breakfast. Every extra meal costs 25,00 €. Free sunshades and deckchairs will be available on the hotel-owned private

swimming pool, weather permitting.

Holiday Package:If you want to enjoy our wonderful Country and stay a bit more with us, we offer you an holiday package.

From 30th to 8th October participation fee is 980,00 €.

It includes:

Tourist Tax, set by OLBIA Municipality (2,50 euros/day, maximum 17,50 euros), is not included in the offer and has to be paid directly in cash at your arrival to the Hotel you will be accommodated in.

7) IBSA Capitation Fee - €25 per athlete to be paid with the entry by name with bank transfer

Please note that the Loc must receive the full amount, the cost of bank payment is on charge of payer.

9) Conditions of Participation:The championship will be played in accordance with IBSA regulations.Each IBSA member must have paid their membership for the respective year;Every athlete should be registered on ISAS with a current license for the respective year

For each nation, 4 men and 4 women can participate; Each nation can have only 1 team for team competition.

Classification will take place on October 1st and 2nd 2019.The regulations are: (Athletes who need classification must be available on both (full) days of the classification so arrival on 30 September)

o The IBSA Medical Diagnosis Form (MDF) must be completed in English, signed and stamped by a registered ophthalmologist in the respective country of the athlete;

o The MDF and if necessary, additional medical tests should be uploaded on to the ISAS record of the athlete on the database at least 5-6 weeks before the classification date of the competition

Entering athletes to this competition and for classification:

1. ALL IBSA MEMBERS MUST BE IN GOOD STANDING TO SEND THEIR ATHLETES TO AN IBSA COMPETITION.

2. ALL ATHLETES MUST BE LICENSED FOR THE CURRENT YEAR

DEADLINE DATE FOR uploading MDF and any medical tests is: 19 August 2019

10) Transportation

Transfers are guaranteed only from/to Olbia Airport, by minibus at scheduled time.Travel details must be communicated by mail to the Organizers by 15 th August 2019 , otherwise the transfer will not be guaranteed.

11) VISAS

All the participants must own a valid passport or ID card. European Union citizens don't need a VISA to enter in Italy. Differently, the Non European Union citizens have to contact their Embassy in order to achieve the VISA.

12) Other Info

DOPING CONTROL: Regulations by the actual IBSA Anti-doping rules in collaboration with the local organisers.
