PUBLIC NOTICE

It is informed that as per the approval of Chandigarh

Administration, the Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh is going to

impose Municipal cess @10 paisa per unit per month on electricity

consumption in chandigarh under section 90(2) and 90(4) of the Punjab

Municipal corporation Act 1976 as applicable to U.T., Chandigarh vide

punjab Municipal corporation Law (as extended to U.T., Chandigarh)

Act, 1994 for betterment of operation & maintenance of street lights by

Municipal corporation, chandigarh. But before finalising the policy,

chandigarh Administration wants to invite objections/suggestions from

the general public of chandigarh in the above said matter for which the

residents of chandigarh are hereby requested to submit their

objections/suggestions within a period of 15 days from the date of

publication of this Public Notice either through hard copy in the office of

Executive Engineer, MC. Electrical Division, Fourth Floor New Deluxe

Building, Room No.-402, Sector 17lE, Chandigarh or on the officialWeb

site of chandigarh Administration, U.T. and on the site of Municipal

Corporation, Chandigarh.
