    (57) Abstract :

The RFID based multipurpose Traffic Light System consists of 2 systems: The RFID system and the Traffic Light system. Whenever

a vehicle arrive towards the traffic lights, it is first detected by the RFID system which is installed prior to the traffic light system. The

RFID reader which is installed in RFID SYSTEM, will continuously check for vehicle with RFID tag and read the tag value installed

in them. The controller will match the tag value of vehicle with already stored different category of databases i.e. emergency vehicle

database, public transport database, defaulter™s database, crime database, general database, registering & license authority (RLA)

database. And if the tag value matches with any of the stored value stored in these databases, then massage flag is sent to the Traffic

Lights system wireless technology i.e. CDMA/GSM/IOT OR INTERNET SERVER, to take the specific decision based on the

database category of the vehicle. In case of emergency vehicle the massage flag sent to Traffic Light system is to turn the light green

of the direction from where the emergency vehicle is coming. Free passage will be provided by turning the lights Green and hence

allowing the traffic ahead to get clear, so that the emergency vehicle could easily pass. Once the Emergency Vehicles passes through

the traffic junctions, resetting of traffic lights would be done. For resetting, the next direction™s RFID™s controller (the direction in

which the emergency vehicle turns after crossing the previous particular junction) will send two flags. One flag reset the previous

traffic lights from where the emergency vehicle came, and the other flag set the next upcoming traffic light to provide free passage in

that direction. Besides providing free passage to the emergency vehicles, Traffic Light System will also handles case of multiple

emergency vehicles arriving at the same junction at same time. It also perform multiple functions like tracing the stolen vehicle,

information regarding the incoming public transportation at the bus stops and to its subscribers; can detect the traffic rules defaulters

(over speeding, red light crossing, expired vehicle registration, overloading etc.) and automatically issue fine to defaulters and also

notify the police authority about the crime; tracing of the vehicles by the subscribed owners and traffic flow management.

    (57) Abstract :

The present research relates to the Eco Natural Krishi Vardhak bioformulated with modified nutrient broth by incorporating the pink

pigmented facultative methylotroph strain no. PPFMJ01 isolated from phyllosphere of Coriandrum sativum crop. Plant™s best friend

pink pigmented facultative methylotrophs (PPFM) are ubiquitous in nature and belonging to the genus Methylobacterium. These

symbiotic bacteria are gram negative, aerobic in nature and have potential to grow on one carbon compounds such as methanol as the

sole carbon and energy source. An Eco Natural Krishi Vardhak is the biostimulator, biofertilizer and biocontroller as they directly

influence the plant growth by generating vitamins, producing indole acetic acid (IAA) and cytokinins phytohormones as well as

supply nitrogen to the plant through diazotroph characterization.

    (57) Abstract :

The presented invention is based on homomorphic filtering to restore the speckled agricultural SAR images for land monitoring,

which gets degraded during image acquisition, by the granular pattern noise known as speckle noise. SAR images of agricultural land

are high dimensional images and preserving the detailed information like edges, texture and structures is one major issue. The db2

based DWT is applied for multiresolution decomposition. The detailed part are subjected to bayesian shrinkage rule using soft

thresholding and NLM filter is implemented at specific stages including at approximate part. Since the complete restoration of

speckled SAR images is not possible, some information gets missed and sometimes some artifacts gets also evolved. In order to

remove these artifacts and recover information, a newly emerged concept is embedded to this framework known as method noise

wavelet thresholding. The unfiltered part of the despeckled image is restored by method noise thresholding

Title: A NOVEL METHOD FOR ISOLATION AND LONG TERM STORAGE OF LYTIC PHAGES OF VIBRIO VULNIFICUS

APPLICANT: SREE BALAJI MEDICAL COLLEGE & HOSPITAL, BIHER- BHARATH UNIVERSITY ABSTRACT In the

present invention, Vibrio vulnificus lytic phages were found to cause lysis of the bacterial cells of Vibrio and the phages can be used

for phage therapy of Vibriosis. Therefore bacterial cells of V. vulnificus were grown in Luria Bertani (LB) medium/Nutrient broth

medium for 6 h shaking (200 rpm) at 37°C, the cells from the bacterial cultures were centrifuged at 1000 rpm for 30 min at 4C,

filtered through a 0.22 m membrane filter and the filtrate consisted only of a purified population of V. vulnificus lytic phages and they

were stored for long-term in a mixture of chloroform (10%) and dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) (10%). The frozen V. vulnificus lytic

phage stocks were taken from storage, used for the Vibrio lytic experiments and again stored at -40C for long term use. Double layer

agar plates were prepared and the plaque formation, inhibition of the growth and lysis of the infected Vibrio cells were determined.

For phage isolation, purification and stock preparation of single plaques for large-scale purification, serial-dilution was carried out

from positive phage containing samples. The lytic effects and stability of the phages on long term storage, treatment with enzymes,

organic solvents, detergents, pH temperature, were determined by employing agar bioassay method and one-step growth experiment.

Our studies have shown that chloroform, acetone, ethyl alcohol, methyl alcohol, ribonuclease (RNase), trypsin, protease, Triton-X100

treatments did not affect the biocontrol lytic effects of the phages. In contrast, the phages were inactivated completely and hence they

could not show biocontrol lytic effects at temperatures over 60°C, pH ( 12), lysozyme and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) treatment.

One-step growth experiments indicated that the latent period was 3 hrs with the burst size at 37°C. Agar bioassay method indicated

that the percentage inhibition of the Vibrio isolates were 70%, -75%. We showed that that the method developed in the study can be

easily employed for phage therapy while the phages could be stored at -40C for a long time and advantageously used for the

    biocontrol of Vibriosis.

TITLE: BACTERIOPHAGE PREPARATION FOR BIOCONTROL OF VIBRIOSIS APPLICANT: SREE BALAJI MEDICAL

COLLEGE & HOSPITAL, BIHER- BHARATH UNIVERSITY ABSTRACT The phage therapy is one of the valuable strategies for

the control of bacterial diseases. The present invention demonstrated the occurrence of Vibrio vulnificus lytic phages viz. vv1, vv2,

vv3 and vv4, preparation of bacteriophage and its efficacy in phage therapy control of vibriosis. Theselytic phages were shown to

cause lysis of various isolates of Vibrio and to have a broad host range lytic spectrum and have potential biocontrol effects of the

luminous Vibrio bacteria. Agar bioassay method signified that the percentage inhibition of the Vibrio sp. was 75% (VV1) and 70%

(VV2, VV3 & VV4), respectively. One-step growth experiments of the lytic phage infected Vibrio vulnificus showed that the latent

period was 3 hrs with the burst size at 37°C. The lytic viruses are tectiviruses of the family tectiviridae having a typical double layered

elongated icosahedral head with a tapering tube-like tail. Thus the current study demonstrated the application and efficacy of the

Vibrio vulnificus lytic phages against various isolates of the Vibrio bacterial pathogens.

    (57) Abstract :

ABSTRACT 3D materials and alloys are becoming more and more popular because of their high specific strength, light specific

weight, recyclability, and ability to shield electromagnetic shocks. This work introduces an integrated RE/RP/CAD/CAE/CAM system

for constructing suitable 3D printing materials for the robot and developing related robot arm structure using Concurrent Engineering.

This integrated system uses an optical scanning system, a rapid prototyping machine, CAD/CAE/CAM software, a sheet metal

forming simulation software, CAM software, and a die design knowledge-based system as the operating platform. The die design

knowledge-based system includes die design procedures, die design standards, design criteria, and empirical formulae. Our system has

been used successfully in constructing a light weight material for the robot arm structure and developing related progressive die. Since

the entire development process shares the same 3D geometric model, the various process of developing dies can be performed in

parallel. Our system can greatly reduce the development time and cost, improve the product quality, and push products into the market

in a relatively short time. The present work concerns the hardware development of a table top-size robot, focusing on the use of an

integrated application of RE/RP/CAD/CAE/CAM for the rapid development of the robots outer body pans. Most parts were three-

dimensionally designed with 3D CAD, which enables effective connection with CAE analyses, the basis of which lays in kinematic

simulation and structural analysis. To reduce the lead time and investment cost of developing parts, RP and CAJVI are selectively

used to manufacture master parts for the body. These master parts are then replicated by using a CNC/vacuum casting process, from

which we can repeatedly obtain plastic parts. Through this integrated approach, we successfully developed a prototype of Scorbot with

a relatively low time and investment cost.

    (57) Abstract :

ABSTRACT The vertical tail of a commercial aircraft is designed to encounter a single engine failure or cross wind during landing. A

large tail is not necessary during all phases of flight. The main idea of this invention is to scale down the size of vertical tail. If the size

is reduced by 17% it leads to 1 -2% fuel savings. The increased suction pressure further downstream along the rudder hinge line at

both sideslip angles should increase the distance between the tails aerodynamic centre and the centre of gravity of aircraft, which

should provide an increase in yaw control authority. The concept introduced in this invention is a controllable surface which opens at

the. trailing edge of winglet which encounters the need of a large vertical tail. By incoiporating this, the size of the vertical tail can be

reduced. After scaling down the vertical tail to compensate for the loss of side force the controllable surface on the winglet splits open

and generate drag on one side of die aircraft in a controlled manner. The flight computer controls the actuators of these newly

introduced split type control surfaces on the winglet. For study the length of winglet is considered to be around 2 meters which is

normally used in many wide body aircrafts. The Catia designed model of tail and modified winglets are analysed with ANSYS

    15.0(fluent) in this report.

    (57) Abstract :

Abstract Drag is a major issue that aircraft industries are facing today. Innumerable investigations are in progress which mainly focus

on the methods to reduce drag. Improving the aerodynamic efficiency of the vehicle can resolve this drawback to a great extent. The

aerodynamic efficiency is explained in L/D ratio, decreasing the drag component will increase the aerodynamic efficiency. In this

research a methodology to reduce the drag by creating roughness over wing surface has been adopted. By adopting this surface

roughness method, the transition of the air flow from the laminar to the turbulent region will result in less drag. This research is being

carried out based on the above said theory. The outcome of this method can delay the flow separation in a wing which helps in

increasing the lift. The roughness has reduced the coefficient of skin friction drag or viscous drag and increased the coefficient of lift

along with the stall angle of attack. NACA 0012 airfoil was selected for this study. Aluminum wing models are fabricated with and

without surface roughness and same has been tested in Wind Tunnel. The results are discussed in terms of Lift and Drag.

nutrient added water solution. The root and the lower stem of the plant will be supplied with all the necessary nutrition needed for a

plant by means of spraying the nutrient water solution. In this invention the growing of plant is carried out by using semi-closed

acrylic tank. The nutrient solution in the acrylic tank is sprayed in the root zone and shoot zone at regular intervals. In addition the

refrigeration system is installed to maintain the optimum desired temperature in the root zone . The refrigeration system is powered by

solar panels. The system is also incorporated with Phase Change Material (PCM) .The PCM transfer the stored heat to the nutrient

solution during the night off-sun shine time. Hence desired temperature is maintained during day time through VCRs and during the

night time the PCM will maintain the desired temperature. The PCM is immersed in the nutrient solution which will store heat energy

as latent heat and release during off-sun shine time.

    (57) Abstract :

Aluminium matrix composites have been reinforced with Boron carbide (B4C) and Graphite (Gr) for increasing mechanical

properties, wear resistance and ultimate tensile strength and reducing the density. Addition of Boron carbide (B4C) improve both

strength and wear resistance of composite, but, addition of B4C alone in higher amounts makes the composite brittle and machining

difficult. Thus, B4C can be advantageously used as a reinforcement to overcome the problem of strength reduction in Gr reinforced

composites, resulting in hybrid composites. Aluminium matrix composites reinforced with up to 12 wt B4C and 3 wt Gr particulates

are investigated in the present study. Addition of boron carbide and graphite particles reduces the density of hybrid composites thus

resulted in a light weight hybrid composites suitable for automobile applications. Hardness and tensile strength of the hybrid

composites increased with an increase in weight fraction of boron carbide. Composite with !2wt.%B4C/3wt% graphite reinforcement

showed a significant increase in hardness and correlate well with strength and wear resistance. % Elongation decreased in a linear

fashion with increasing reinforcement and AI/9B4C/3Gr hybrid composite showed a reduction in ductility when the B4C content was

increased from 0 to 12 wt%. Dry sliding wear and friction behavior of unreinforced alloy and hybrid composites showed that the wear

rate increased with increasing load and the highest wear was observed at 30 N for all the three sliding speeds (1 to 3 m/s). Maximum

wear rate was observed in unreinforced Al alloy (Al) and the lowest in AI/9%B4C/3%Gr composites which can be attributed to the

significant improvement in resistance due to presence of B4C and graphite particles. Increasing percent B4C reinforcement promotes

stronger material transfer from the counter face. Oxidation due to high interfacial temperature resulted in the formation of a protective

Mechanically Mixed Layer (MML). Wear resistance increased with increasing B4C reinforcement upto 9 per cent in the composites

and mixing B4C beyond 9% decreases the wear resistance. Among the hybrid composites, AI/9B4C/3Gr hybrid composite exhibited

the highest wear resistance and lowest COF for all applied loads. SEM fractograph showed mixed morphology involving brittle

fracture and debonding of boron carbide particles, growth and coalescence of voids in the matrix and brittle transgranular fracture.

SEM micrograph showed that reinforcement of hard B4C resulted the decreased groove width as well as debris formation due to the

improvement in load carrying capacity of composite, thus enhanced the abrasion resistance of composites and thus the decreased wear

    rate.
