This year, the annual Hotel and Catering Equipment Exhibition (HACE- Hotel Expo) took place from October 28-31, 2019, at the Cairo International Conference Center in Nasr City. The HACE Hotel Expo is Egypt’s largest and most prominent international trade fair, specializing in hotel supplies and furnishings, catering supplies, bakery, pastry, and ice cream equipment, cleaning equipment, Super Market equipment and all the necessities for small and large businesses across the hospitality and FMCG sectors. With over 39 years of excellence to its name, the HACE Hotel Expo has further established itself as the official networking hub for the exchange of business, information, education, world-class technology and tools, supplies, and service within Egypt’s hotel, hospitality, and catering fields.This year’s expo was held under the gracious auspices of the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism, and in powerful collaboration with The Egyptian Chef’s Association, showcasing more than 350 represented companies from around the world. Participants exhibited their latest in HACE’s six prominent exhibition categories, which are:


Countries that participated in the HACE- Hotel Exhibition this year include Egypt, with more

than 240 companies represented, as well as 105 companies from Finland, Switzerland,

Germany, France, Italy, China, Spain, the USA, the UK, Poland, Taiwan, India, Brazil, Turkey,

Sweden, Czech Republic, Holland, Belgium, and the Netherlands—marking the Expo as one of

the largest collective hotel and catering exhibitions in the Middle East.

The HACE - Hotel Expo also hosted the Food Hub: exclusive educational platform featuring a

series of lectures and cooking demonstrations using the latest featured technologies exhibited

at The HACE Hotel Expo, designed for chefs at all levels to learn the latest from industry

professionals. They covered a number of essential topics in the culinary world, including

techniques, technology, environmental sustainability, health, and nutrition - all of which were

covered online by social media enthusiasts and influencers that attended. In it’s short 4 days,

the HACE Hotel Expo made a smashing jump in online engagement and followership across its

platforms, all of which used this year’s nearly viral hashtag #Hace2019Expo.

In addition, the HACE- Hotel Expo collaborated with the Egyptian Chef’s Association to host the largest collection of acclaimed culinary competitions in one place. This year’s competition results are as follows:

Best Restaurant Award - won by Pier 88, with chefs Ashraf Ahmed Abdel Moniem, Artem Vasilevich, and Ahmed karam.


This year’s exhibition took place across 11,500 square meters of space. During its 4 days, the HACE Hotel Expo attracted more than 12,000 visitors, both business owners and consumers alike from Egypt, and also from Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Sudan, India, Turkey, Libya, Jordan, Kuwait, Syria, the UAE, and the EU. As a result, the HACE Hotel Expo is considered Africa’s number-1 trade fair, and also one of the most prestigious and anticipated Expos in the MENA region.

In addition to the massive turnout this year, the HACE- Hotel Expo also received abundant

media coverage and exposure from numerous newspapers and media outlets from Egypt and

the Middle East, appearing in more than 35 different newspapers in both English and Arabic,

including prestigious entities such as Al-Ahram, Al-Akhbar, El-Borsa, The Daily News, Fox

News, Al-Arabiya News, Al-Wafd, and many others.
