RELEASE INFORMATION

• Release Date:

o If prior to release, disclose the scheduled

release date

o If following the inmate’s release, disclose the

actual date of release and manner of release

RELEASE INFORMATION CONTINUED

• People are released in street clothing

• Any property held at the facility is returned

• Bus and/or BART tickets are provided to people who do

not have cash

TYPICAL RELEASE TIMES

MDF

• Scheduled releases: 6 AM

• Morning court releases: morning or early afternoon

• Afternoon court and no-charge releases: 7 – 9 PM (usually by 8 PM)

WCDF

• Scheduled releases: 5 – 7 AM

• Morning court releases: 3 – 6 PM

• Afternoon court and no-charge releases: 6 – 9 PM

* Other releases occur throughout the day (court, cite, bail, prison, other agency, temporary)

* All release times are subject to change and may vary depending on day, shift, number of people being released, and

facility/operations needs

• Custody Alternative Facility is 3 blocks awayBus

WCDF in Richmond

• Bus stop is outside front door

• Bus route to BART

• Processed out at approx. 9:30 AM, Mon-Fri

• SO transportation takes them to North Concord BART at approximately 10 AM

• Receive property at BART, pay phones at station

• Those due for release on Sat/Sun are transferred to MDF on Friday prior

• No pick ups from facility

• Gate-release is very rare (unless to court mandated program or Probation)
