While all dates are estimates and subject to change at any time, it is a great tool for contractors to use when preparing their business development plans.

The Airports Authority implements two small business programs:
• Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program and Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) Program for federally funded contracts and concession opportunities.
• Local Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (LDBE) Program for non-federally funded contract opportunities

• Local = Established business operations within 100 mile radius of Washington DC – Zero Mile Marker

LDBE CERTIFICATION APPLICATION FOR DSLBD FIRMS
• A “streamlined” process through MWAA, acknowledging the application processes of the Department of Small & Local Business Development
• The application requires basic information about the CBE firm; legal structure, type of work to be performed, a list of North American Industry Classification System Codes (NAICS Codes) MWAA can reference for solicitation purposes, and a general description of the CBE firm’s past performance and ownership.
• Affidavit of LDBE: “An oath that the information supplied is true and correct and is information MWAA can rely upon as to the size, location, operations and ownership.” This form must be notarized.
• Once certified by MWAA, the certification will be valid for three years.
