Espere. The Bukidnon Integrated Home Industries, Inc. (BINHI) through then Congresswoman Socorro Acosta of the 1 st District, Bukidnon granted 9 cattle to the office to help its clients augment their income from marginal farming. Priority beneficiaries of the office were the landless and low-income farm laborers. In 2001 when undersigned was reassigned to BPPO 1 there were only 6 cattle left to the clients-beneficiaries which she was able to identify. From that number and through regular monitoring and supervision of the office staff, the number of recipients’ increases to 15 clients at present. There are still many of our clients who are expecting to avail of the project but because it will take more than 2 years for a cattle to bear an offspring aside from the inevitable death of cattle from time to time, the office initiated a pig and goat dispersal project wherein we have one (1) pig and one (1) goat to two clients-beneficiaries at present.

The Cattle Dispersal Project

The Cattle Dispersal Project is considered as best practice of the office since it started in the 1990s through the earnest effort of then CPPO Lina B. Espere. The Bukidnon Integrated Home Industries, Inc. (BINHI) through then Congresswoman Socorro Acosta of the 1st District, Bukidnon granted 9 cattle to the office to help its clients augment their income from marginal farming. Priority beneficiaries of the office were the landless and low-income farm laborers.

In 2001 when undersigned was reassigned to BPPO 1 there were only 6 cattle left to the clients-beneficiaries which she was able to identify. From that number and through regular monitoring and supervision of the office staff, the number of recipients increases to 15 clients at present.
