30 Members were present initially for the AGM so the meeting was adjournedfor 30 min. due to lack of quorum after which it was started without quorum.Hon. President Dr. RH Khatavkar called the meeting to order and requestedHon. Secretary Dr. Roopa Madkaikar to continue with the proceedings.

Dr. Roopa regretfully announced demise of Dr. Hasmukh Thaker,Dr. Dattatray Thosar, Dr. GS Vaidya, Dr. Tekchand Vira & Father of Dr. BhushanChavan & Dr. KT Patil’s . A condolence resolution was moved by Hon. PresidentDr. RH Khatavkar . The House maintained silence for 2 minutes.ResolutionThe AGM of NIMA-MDB held on 29th Oct. 2017 deeply mourns the sad demiseof our members & their dear ones & expresses condolences to their bereavedfamilies. May the departed soul rest in peace.

AGENDA NO. - 7To adopt Auditor & Accountant for year 2017-2018 and fix their remuneration.It was suggested by the Hon. Treasurer Dr. JK Rai to continue the AccountantMr. Sanjay Ahire & Auditors SV Karande & Associates at same remuneration.The house unanimously accepted the suggestion.Proposed by Dr. JK Rai Seconded by Dr. SH Pandya

AGENDA NO. - 8Any other matter with the Permission of the Chair.Program on agitation against NCISM Bill was discussed in detail. It was informedthat 80 to 90 doctors of MBD would be participating. It was communicated thatDoctors should gather at Shanti Sports Complex instead of Jantar Mantar at10AM on 6th Nov 2017. Here, the Leaders would guide them and the Marchwould start from there at 12 noon towards Raj Ghat. Lodging would be at HotelVed Palace Dlx at Pahadganj. Those who can’t participate at Delhi should keeptheir Clinics closed on 06.11.2017 as protest. Dr. MG Jadhav asked participantsto bring an ID Proof for Hotel. Dr. RR Varma thanked for sending the AnnualReport to him because of which he was able to attend AGM this year. He then

suggested to check Government Plots for Bigger Office. He was explained aboutthe agitation of NIMA, the NITI Aayog’s stand and the NCISM Bill and prayed forhelp as he belonged to the ruling party.Dr. KT Patil proposed a congratulatory note in favour of Hon. President Dr. RHKhatavkar. He said that in the last 6 months Dr. Khatavkar has visited variousplaces in India regarding the NITI Aayog’s stand and the NCISM Bill on his ownexpenses. He proposed that Dr. Khatavkar should lead NIMA at Central Level &MDB would be in his support. He was also opportunate as Adhoc CommitteeMember to look after the Thane NIMA Branch Activities by NIMA MaharashtraPresident and also to conduct elections of new Managing Committee ThaneBranch. Dr. Mujahed Pathan & Dr. Prasad Pawar were appointed as co-ElectionOfficers for the purpose. All of them were entrusted for this work by NIMA MSBand they performed their duties effeciently.Dr. Roopa Madkaikar showed dissappointment at the attitude of Members wholack punctuality &suggested to hold the AGM at 11 AM instead of 10.AM. Dr. RJMehta suggested that Managing Committee should mention time at 10.30 AM& start the AGM at 11 AM even without the quorum. The house agreed to him.Dr. Sanjay Talgaonkar expressed his views and decribed his different activitiesother than the Medical Field. He expressed his gratitude towards Dr. Patkar andDr. Rajesh Gupta for guiding him in life towards parallel prospects. He Headsthe Anviti Seva Sanstha which organises one act plays for Medical Community.Dr. Sanjay also organises Health Camps, Blood Donation camps & other socialactivities in Adivasi padas near Mumbai. He opined that we should continue toimprove ourselves so that government should continue our fraternity.

AGENDA NO. - 9Presidential Address.Hon. President Dr. RH Khatavkar expressed his gratitude towards all ManagingCommittee Members for helping him & senior NIMA Members for guiding himfrom time to time. At the end he thanked Hon. Secretary & Hon. Treasurer fortheir support & help.

AGENDA NO. - 10Vote of Thanks.Hon. Secretary Dr. Roopa thanked all Managing Committee Members, SeniorColleagues, House assistant, Organisers, NIMA MDB Staff and all those whohave worked and helped her in her tenure.Hon Secretary Dr. Roopa announced the end of the meeting & house dispersed.

OFFICE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEERenovation work has started in MDB Office. We are renovationg bathrooms &kitchen platform, painting walls & enhancing flooring with focus on making morespace available & ease of management. This will also help in keeping the officeclean as well as solve some issues of projector, computer placements etc. TheRenovation work is expected to get over before this years Annual General BodyMeeting. SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEEThe Scientific Committee has been working incesssantly to keep you updatedwe just finished a 24 Lecture Series for the benefit of Undergraduate Students& General Practitioners with Topics ranging from Cancer, PCOD, RheumatoidArthritis, Rasayana & Vajikarana, Agnikarma, Diabetes Mellitus, Constipation,Heart Disease, etc. The interesting part of this series was dual approach twospeakers for most topics one from the Allopathic Fraternity & one from theAyurvedic Fraternity which gave a pluralistic view on same Disease. To ensurestudent participation RA Podar Med. College, SKGMP Ayu. Medical College, SionAyurved College and Yerla Medical College were kept as venues. Educationalgrant was receiced from Shree Dhootpapeshwar Ltd & Solumiks Piramal Ltd.NIMA MDB also hosted a workshop on Basic ECG and a trial run for BLS Trainingwhich also received a very good response.Dr. SS Mavlankar Dr. MG Jadhav Dr. Sanjay Londhe

LEGAL ACTIVITY COMMITTEEThe Legal Committee has been busy working with various events happening atNational Level, understanding how the new laws like NMC & NCISM Bills willchange the dynamics for a Clinician and planning for a collaborative fight forexistence, if required. Like other NIMA Branches MDB has also sent many mailsto NITI Aayog & PM Office containing recommendations & protest. We are alsomeeting various Political Leaders, MPs, District Collectors & our CM. Currentscenario has brought in many hurdles to the ISM Practitioner in the form ofClinical Establishment Act, Shop Establishment Act, BMC Issues, BMW issues &Human Right Notices. Many advices were given by our Committee Members toaggrieved with positive results. Our MDB also chaired a first NIMA Divisionalconference this year where NCISM Bill & Biometric Registration and Renewal

PRESS & PUBLICITY COMMITTEEThe Press & Publicity Committee has been trying to disseminate informationabout NIMA MDB activities to the masses. WhatsApp Groups are operated tocommunicate the status of Legal Cases and the stand to be taken by Members,in nationwide events. A site at URL www.nimamumbai.com is also operational& maintained with updates. Social Networking is being handled by a FacebookPage and a Twitter Handle.
