The mission of the Service Club of Milwaukee is two-fold:

To help high school girls develop a lifelong enthusiasm and commitment to community service and fundraising by introducing them to meaningful volunteer opportunities and experiences in the Greater Milwaukee Community, and,

To provide funding to local, non-profi t organizations.

Since its inception in 1910, the Service Club of Milwaukee has been dedicated to providing young women with a variety of volunteer and fund raising experiences during their high school years. Becoming a member of SCM provides a fi rsthand introduction to voluntarism in the community. As the next generation of volunteers, members learn how to effectively contribute to the future of non-profi t organizations by volunteering their time and talents. One focus of the club has been to give fi nancial assistance to non-profi t agencies in the greater Milwaukee area that depend on SCM for support. Grant requests are awarded at the annual Charity Ball, a gala event where each SCM member is celebrated for successfully fulfi lling at least 90 hours of volunteer service and for raising funds which are distributed to deserving benefi ciaries.
