James G. Damon, CFA

is a Senior Vice President and serves on Oechsle's Investment Strategy Committee. His responsibilities encompass risk management, portfolio construction and client communications. Prior to joining Oechsle, Mr. Damon was a Senior Portfolio Analyst at Putnam Investments in the Global Core Equity group. Prior to Putnam, he was a Consulting Associate at Cambridge Associates in Boston, Massachusetts. Mr. Damon has over 9 years of investment experience.

Mr. Damon is a graduate of Middlebury College where he received a B.A. in Economics and French. He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society.

John L. Simpson, Ph.D, CFA

is a Principal and Portfolio Manager/Research Analyst. Prior to joining the company in January 1999, Mr. Simpson was a Vice President and International Economist in Foreign Exchange Trading for Goldman, Sachs & Co. He began his career as a financial markets economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Mr. Simpson earned a Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.A. (Honors) in Economics and Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences from Northwestern University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
