Common Core Assessment and Remediation ToolThe Common Core Assessment and Remediation Tool (CART) is a flexible and media-rich set of content-
based assessment tools and instructional materials designed specifically to support the national Common
Core Standards (CCSS) for Math and English Language Arts for grades K -8. CART utilizes Odysseyware’s
CRx (Credit Recovery) mode, creating prescriptive learning paths toward CCSS skill mastery.
Prescriptive Learning PathsOdysseyware offers a powerful feature called
Credit Recovery Mode (CRx), that provides learners with
a prescriptive learning path based on assessed content
mastery. Pretests before each instructional unit determine
whether each unit will be skipped or added to a learner’s
instructional path. By adding FLEX mode to CRx, students
have the ability to test out of Course Lessons, based on a
student’s understanding of the topics covered.
FLEX ASSESSMENTS
When a course has Flex Assessments, tests and quizzes automatically
adjust to match any changes to the lesson sequence, prescriptive learning
path, and content of a normal or custom course.
