Dear Holy Redeemer Families,
We are off to a great start! Our first few months have been quite eventful.
In September, we had our annual Family Fun Night. What a great way to share in fun and fellowship as a school community. It is a pleasure to be part of an event that is filled with joy and happiness. A huge thank you to Mrs. Melanie Cantwell for organizing such a fun and successful event! Throughout the month, we also hosted our Student Council elections. Congratulations to President Abigail Smith (8), Vice President- Keagan Cooper (7), Secretary- Dania Callaway (8), Treasurer- Ava Stuart (6), 6th Grade Commissioner of Activities- Sean Robson, 7th Grade Commission-er of Activities- Audrey Badrak and 8th Grade Commissioner of Activities- Coyla Cantwell. Our National Junior Honor Society also held elections and voted Anastacia Popil (8) as their new President, Ealisayd Triplett (8) as Vice President, Ciara Cullinane (7) as Secretary and Audrey Badrak (7) as Treasurer. Congratulations to all!
In October, we had our annual Grandparents/Grandfriends Day. It was a day filled with love and support! Thank you to Ms. Crawford for an out-standing performance and to Mrs. Sullivan and her team for the wonderful atmosphere she created. The Home-School Association also hosted our 2nd Annual 5K Monster Dash and 1K Trick-or-Trot. I wanted to thank all of the students and families who participated in this school and community-wide event. The weather was great and the Girl Scouts held a lovely Fall Fest for all to enjoy afterwards. Also, a big thank you to all our sponsors and students who helped raise money. While we do not have the exact fig-ure, I know we have surpassed the goal of $20,000 for a Free Out of Uni-form Day! We thank you for your continued support of Holy Redeemer School.
Blessings,
Mrs. Fernandez

Grandparents & Grandfriends Day
Grandparents & Grandfriends Day was a huge suc-cess! It was a beau-tiful day filled with love, laugh-
ter, mu-sic, and cheer. The students had so much fun hosting their grandparents and grandfriends in their
classrooms, fol-lowed by spectacu-lar musical perfor-mances in the four season room. A special thank you to the seventh grade class for helping with the decoration set-up, and to the volunteers who were so fabulous on the day of the event.
Please join us in
welcoming our
new First Grade
Teacher, Mrs.
Christina Beal! We
are very excited to
have her join our
HRS Community!

Tuition Assistance for 2020-2021 The Archdiocesan Tuition Assistance Program is available for all students applying to or currently enrolled in Catholic Schools within the Archdiocese of Washington. Applications are accepted from October 1-December 6. All tuition assistance obtained through the archdiocese is based on financial need. Families must apply each year to receive assistance and need must be demonstrated each year to qualify. Applying for tuition aid has no bearing on whether a student is admitted to a school. To learn more, visit the Tuition and Financial Aid Tab of our school website at https://school.holy-redeemer.org/tuition-financial-aid.
In order to receive the HRS Sibling Grant or any assistance from the school or parish, each family must apply for the Archdiocese of Washing-ton Tuition Assistance Fund.

Family Fun Night For the 8th year in a row, we hosted Family Fun
Night in the parking lot of the school. The lot
transforms into a carnival with inflatable obsta-
cles, games, face painting, food and the dunk
tank.
This year, Mr. LeBlanc spent the first hour in the
dunk tank, and Father Andrew graciously stayed
in the dunk tank for TWO HOURS straight! The
students joyfully took turns trying to dunk our
brave dunk volunteers! Thank you to the Girl
Scouts for their successful bake sale that
raised $270.00! We greatly appreciate Mrs.
Cantwell for coordinating this event and to all
the volunteers who helped.
HRS Giving Tree
Are you looking for a great way to help our school, teachers and students? Stop by and “pick a leaf” from our Giving Tree. The tree is located outside the school office and contains many wish requests like classroom supplies and books for our wonderful teachers. You may purchase and drop off the items at the school office, or you may send in payment (checks made payable to Holy Redeemer School) and teachers will purchase the items themselves. You can also shop our Amazon Wish List!
