NNinety-two days of destiny — from October 1 to December 31 — are underway ... and so is our crucial campaign to complete our faith goal of reaching 89,598,691 children and youth this year with God’s Word!

Thank you to everyone who has already participated. As of August 31, we still had 29,866,230 to go ... But the 92 Days of Destiny campaign in this final quarter of the year can help us catch up quickly.

What this final quarter of the year isn’t, is a crisis. The need is great, but we know God will provide! We’re praying He may

provide through you. This is the year we reached

the 750 millionth child with OneHope Scripture engagement tools, and responded to the disasters in Japan with nearly FIVE times the resources we’d originally envisioned for 2011 ... now we have to finish it strong, for the rest of the children and youth around the world.

If anything, it might be called a “crisis of opportunity,” because the doors are open, and children are waiting, in so many nations of the world. The only thing holding us back is finances.

And we believe by God’s grace, and through your prayers and giving, this need will be met — in our 92 Days of Destiny.

A crisis of opportunity?

AA massive school distribution — it touched the life of every schoolchild in the entire nation of El Salvador. That’s how OneHope began, back in 1987.

Today, our partners around the world have developed creative, effective ways to reach millions of children and youth with a biblical message of purpose and hope outside the school walls ... but there are still some great school programs, including some in the Asia Pacific region.

• PhiliPPines— Child Evangelism Fellowship partnership. CEF has a vision to present values education in the Elementary schools of the Philippines. Through partnership with OneHope, their vision has expanded greatly… from reaching 200,000 to now reaching more than 1 million children each year with the Book of Hope and The GodMan film. Local CEF volunteers are given 30 minutes each week to teach values in various schools. We’re excited to be working with such great partners!

• Taiwan— Children’s Lane partnership. This organization has been able to access many schools in Taiwan to present a values education program to the students. Their program, called “Make Right Choices” is geared to younger students and presented with puppet shows, a clown, music and skits. It’s designed to help children make good life choices by giving them the foundation of Christ’s life and teachings in the Book of Hope.

• Thailand— Thailand Bible Society partnership. The Bible Society has a great relationship with the strong network of Catholic schools in Thailand, where often 50% of the students are from Buddhist homes. Together, we’ve launched a Bible Quiz competition for high school students. The competition is promoted through school-wide distributions of the Book of Hope. Bible Quiz participants study the Book of Hope — some reading through it 20 times! Our partners believe it will develop Scripture literacy and help lead young people to new life in Christ.

We’re thrilled to be helping these partners reach students in the schools of the Asia Pacific region with God’s Word. Please keep them in your prayers, and thank you for being part of this! God is doing great things and opening wonderful new doors.

A boy with a double life

SSome weekends he went to church, and everyone there knew him as a nice, clean-cut young student.

Other weekends, he cruised the night clubs and parties — smoking, drinking — and he was also a terrible bully of younger boys. He heard what was preached in church ... but it never made much of a difference to him.

Then his friend came looking for him at a roadside drinking bash, and gave him a gift: the Book of Hope in the Tagalog language of their native Philippines.

When Julius read it, he finally realized what the people at church had been trying to tell him. There is a God who loves him, and has given him guidelines for living an authentic and joyful life. The extra section on what success truly means seemed to speak directly to Julius’ heart.

Today, he has given up his double life. He’s involved in a Bible study, plays in the worship band at church, and has even shared his faith with his mother and other friends.

Julius’ story is just one among many in the Asia Pacific region, where more than nine million young people will receive OneHope Scripture tools this year.

The chart (below) shows you various nations

and the number of children and youth to be reached in each one — Thailand, Japan, Taiwan, Cambodia and

elsewhere.Thank you for reaching out

with God’s love to the next generation in the Asia Pacific region! You’re making a life-transforming difference for young people like Julius.

*Note: 41,000 was the original number for Japan, but after the earthquake-tsunami-nuclear disaster, new doors opened, and already this year 500,000 have been reached.

Even to lift one child from darkness to know the joy of the Lord which we so freely experience would be worth all I can afford to give. To see one child receive the joy of knowing their Savior for 33¢ is amazing! ... OneHope brings the joy of hope to one child at a time, to millions of children each year. Reaching almost 90 million children a year: that’s 246,575 children per day, every day of the year! We can’t give you all the details — for security reasons — but we can tell you that OneHope has active programs and local church and ministry partners in five states of India ... and by God’s grace, lives are being transformed! For instance ...

Poornima was a 15-year-old girl who had a nice life with a loving family — but as the eldest of six, she felt very grown-up and began to run with a crowd of friends who were already into smoking, drinking and other destructive behaviors.

She thought it was cool — and fun.

But then she saw a public showing of The GodMan, our computer-generated animation film about the life of Christ.

Seeing Jesus on the big screen showed Poornima that there was so much more to life than carousing with friends!

“After having seen Jesus Christ, I decided to follow Him all my life,” Poornima says today.

And she’s just one of many children and youth who are choosing to walk with Christ because of OneHope Scripture engagement resources and

the witness of our local church partners and ministries.

They’re racing to reach as many young people as they can by year’s end, and ask you to pray with them for:• healthandsafety for team

members who sometimes face persecution. Many also faced record-high temperatures this past summer, and such extremes have been known to kill people in India.

• Unityamongchurches in recognizing the importance of reaching out to the next generation, and determination to use relevant Scripture tools and presentations to engage them with God’s Word.

• opendoors to places where God’s Word will be received, and children will be excited to take part in the programs and presentations.

• Manychildrenandyouth tochoosetofollowJesus and become established in local churches for discipleship, and for their families also to come to know the Lord.

Pray for children and families to come to know Christ as Savior.

India’s children are receiving the Good News!

It’s not about the amount. If you think estate planning is just for the wealthy, think again.

Estate Planning isn’t about how much or how little, it is whether or not you are going to leave a legacy.

A gift to OneHope from your estate provides the ongoing revelation of God’s life-transforming Word, that will affect the destiny of children and youth until the Lord returns.

It’s great stewardship, a

wonderful testimony, but most importantly it is a living legacy.

One great vehicle for estate planning is a charitable gift annuity, which not only helps present the Gospel to children and youth, but can also generate a lifetime income for you and your spouse, based on interest rates like the ones in the chart.

For more information, contact your financial planner or call 1.800.GIV.BIBL (448.2425) or email at [email protected] today.

If you’re 70-1/2 years or older, you may qualify to give a significant charitable gift as a rollover from your IRA — up to $100,000 — without adding anything to your taxable income.

This is a benefit of the jobs creation act of 2010, which has been extended through December 31, 2011. This is a great way to help present a biblical message of purpose and hope to the next generation ... and get a great tax advantage, too.

As the end of the year draws near, there are other ways to give which may also yield tax benefits to you:

• Donation of appreciated property

or stocks. You may avoid Capital Gains tax by donating the property itself rather than selling and donating the proceeds.

• Donation of a collection, artwork or other valuable items. These will yield you a tax-deduction at the fair market value of the donation.

• Donation of an unneeded life insurance policy.

• An outright gift of cash. Every contribution dated and postmarked by December 31 may apply to your 2011 taxes.

Thanks for helping shape the next generation by the power of God’s Word! And thank you for being a good steward of what God has entrusted to you.

TDear Friend,

Thank you for your partnership in presenting God’s Truth to

the children of the world!

This edition of the Global Report highlights the Asia Pacific

region, where Christians are a small minority ... and yet God is

using OneHope Scripture engagement tools to make a great

impact on the next generation.

We trust you’ll enjoy all the articles, and we particularly

recommend you don’t miss the one on estate planning and

year-end giving. It’s about leaving a legacy, but mostly, it’s

about affecting the destiny of children and young people all

over the world, through your careful stewardship of what God

has entrusted to you.

As you read each wonderful story of a child or young

person who has been transformed, remember: it happens

because friends like you faithfully give and wisely plan for the

disposition of your estate and resources.

Thanks for considering an estate plan which will include

OneHope, help you be the best possible steward you can be,

and also bring a biblical message of purpose and hope to the

children and youth of the world!

OneHope, founded in 1987 by missionary Bob Hoskins, and directed by Assemblies of God missionary Rob Hoskins, is reaching the world’s children and youth with Scripture that speaks directly to their lives and culture. Through OneHope, in collaboration with churches and ministries — and working with local governments, schools and non-governmental organizations — a message of hope has been given personally to over 760 million children and young people in 125 countries through its Book of Hope publications, The GodMan animated film, and other Scripture engagement tools. Using outcome-based research, OneHope continues to innovate its ministry model and offers its expertise and resources to other child-focused organizations.

that are designed to speak to the heart-felt needs of young men and boys in Latin America.

“It drew my attention because it spoke about God in a new way, as far as I was concerned,” Martin remembers. “I found

many answers to several questions that I had asked

myself previously.”He had been

determined not to listen to anything the pastor had to say ... but the Book of Hope slipped past his defenses, and

soon Martin found himself reflecting on what the pastor had said — and he even decided to go to a youth meeting at church.

Today Martin has chosen to follow Christ as Savior.

“God touched my heart,” Martin says. “Today, I know I have purpose in my life.”

Thanks for helping present the biblical message of purpose and hope to young people like Martin, in Mexico, and all over the globe. You’re making a powerful impact.

Martin Ramirez was 14, and he was determined not to listen.

His mother had invited a pastor over to talk with Martin because she thought he was rebellious and headed down a bad road. Surprisingly, Martin stayed to visit with the minister, but he had already decided that church, and God, had nothing to offer him.

Like other young teenagers in Mexico, he was more interested in futbol (soccer), music and having fun with his friends.

But in addition to talking with him, and praying for him, the pastor also gave Martin a present, the Champions Edition Book of Hope, which is the soccer-themed book we developed for Latin America during the World Cup.

Martin had to admit ... he was impressed. The book introduced him to some star soccer players who are also followers of Christ, but it also contained the life story of Jesus, and extra sections

He found answers he had been looking for!
