October-November 2012 Newsletter
The ORNE Community Partnership was set up as a joint venture between Ophir RFC and St
Enda’s GAC (Naomh Éanna). The partnership has been hard at work putting together their
program of events to run to the end of December 2012. In the months to come the
partnership will be participating in a Halloween Festival run from Wednesday the 24th of
October until Tuesday the 30th with everything from children’s activities, talks on the United
Irishmen and Halloween in Northern Ireland to bat box making workshops and a drive in
cinema (More information can be found both on the calendar of events and on the
Halloween flyer which should be available on both websites); a Christmas drama event with
children aged between P1 and P3 taking classes, taking part in a performance and going to
see Aladdin in the Courtyard Theatre; a history project in which men from both clubs will be
invited to attend a trip to Stormont, see the ‘Release’ play, participate in classes on Ireland
during WW1 and travel to Dublin to see Kilmainham Gaol and some of the famous
graveyards and a series of training workshops.
For information on all our events please look through the flyers in this newsletter or for
more information contact Cathy on 07921858385 or [email protected].
This project is funded by the International Fund for Ireland and is managed by the Northern Ireland Rural Development Council (RDC) under the Integrating
Communities Programme.

Calling All Budding Young Christmas Stars
The ORNE Community Partnership would like to invite you to join in the fun in
our drama classes with Jo Traer, take part in a fantastic Christmas play and
enjoy a trip to see Aladdin in the Courtyard theatre as a treat after the
performance
We haven’t forgotten the parents and guardians either! If you fancy staying for
a cuppa and a chat you might get coached into helping with some costumes
while you wait. The good news is that we would love to treat you too with a
trip to see ‘A Christmas Night with George’ in the Theatre at the Mill on
December 19th at 7:45pm
Spaces are limited so for more information please contact Cathy on 07921858385 or
