Little Annie “Hair in the Air” Breast Cancer and Transport Month Awareness Flight Just Love Mission with project Little Annie the "Live" Antonov AN-2 aircraft, will be staging a unique and first ever "Hair in the Air" event to raise awareness not only for Breast Cancer and National Transport Awareness Month, and to afford a group of orphaned and/or less fortunate children to expe- rience the fascinating realm of flight.The plan is to undertake four flights on the day, two for the "Hair in the Air" and two for the youngsters.The event will start at 10h00 with the first flight starting up at 11h00. The second flight will be the children with the follow two flights alternating as well. The event itself will close at 15h00. 2. International White Cane Day The event will highlight the universal accessibility of the A Re Yeng buses and infrastructure to the blind community, and to promote their patronage of the service, happening at Tshwane House, 320 Madiba Street, Pretoria Central. 3. Painting of cycling lanes There will be a pilot project for the painting of cycle lanes within the Pretoria Moot area. The aim of the event is to launch the introductory phase of the project which will focus on 18th Avenue. The contractor will install road signs for non-motorised transport and paint the cycle lanes on the day of the event, which will take place on 14 October 2019. 4. Sod-turning of road and stormwater project This event will launch the start of the new road and stormwater infrastructure in the area of Winterveldt, Region 1. 5. Hand-over of completed roads and stormwater system. This will be a hand-over ceremony by the Member of Mayoral Committee (MMC) for Roads and Trans- port, at Kudube Unit 7, Temba, Region 2. 6. Hatfield Car Free Festival and Non-Motorized Transport (NMT) Indaba This initiative seeks to promote non-motorized transport (NMT) by closing Burnett Street (between Grosvenor and Festival Streets) in partnership with Hatfield City Improvement District (CID). 7. Mobile healthcare services to taxi driversInitiative in partnership with Gauteng & Tshwane Departments of Health, Adelaide Tambo Schooling of Nursing Sciences (TUT), and various non-governmental organisations (NGOs) rendering outreach services in healthcare.

8. A Re Yeng Bus Drivers AwardsThe event objectives is to introduce the Awards and Recognition Programme to drive and encourage substantial performance amongst A Re Yeng Drivers. It will also promote transport services of the City and explain the introduced Telematics (Fleet Board Management System) and individual perfor-mance. It will also promote good drivers’

9. Launch of completed bus depot This will be a hand-over of the newly built bus depot in the area of Ekangala, Region 7.

10. Driver Of The Year (DOTY) competitionThis competition seeks to improve and encourage bus drivers’ skills in both theoretical and practical aspects, in order to promote road safety.

11. Annual Green Ride Cycling events

Fun family ride cycling event to promote cycling as a sustainable non-motorised mode of transport, to be held at Giant Stadium, Soshanguve, Region 1.

12. Launch of completed A Re Yeng infrastructure

This will be the launch of Line 2B (Hatfield – Menlyn) infrastructure, Work Package (WP) 3, i.e., Atterbury Road between Lois Avenue and January Masilela Drive, including the Dallas Interchange.

13. Bestmed Tshwane Classic Cycling Event

This is the 3rd professional cycling event in Tshwane, in partnership with Hectic Promotions (NPC). The inaugural event took place in November 2017. The event has been growing yearly in patronage. About 12 000 cyclists are expected to take part in this big annual cycling bash. For more information about the race go to www.tshwaneclassic.co.za.
