2. Special Upcoming Fund Raising Event – Amy Willemsen Chapters Night - Thursday November 21 Promotional Flyer Distributed Parents encouraged to spread the word and encourage others to

attend this night

3. Review of the Role of School Council Executive The Peel Disrict School Board document “Everything you need to

know about School Councils” was distributed and reviewed in terms of the duties assumed by each executive member

4. School Council Executive Elections Results for 2013-2014 Co Chairs – Viviene Smith & Monica Warner Co Vice-Chairs – Agatha Ledonne & Chris Malik Co Secretaries – Alice Thomas & Pauleta Seaton Co Treasurers – Lonice Davis & Shivon Corby-Corbett

5. A Review of Methods of Communication with Parents Newsletter,Synrevoice, electronic School Sign, School Web Site Parents agreed that newsletter was important to have both

electronically as well as in print form Parents advised to join the parents’ web and also to check the school

web site from time to time

6. School News Staffing and Enrolment Updates School Code of Conduct (video) Environmental Accomplishments (video) Need for a Parent Rep on the Eco Team – Oct. 17 Pro Grant for Parent Workshops- will need to make some plans for

this at the next council meeting Mock Literacy Test and Plans for Results Terry Fox Run – raised over $3,000 for this event Subject and Honor Awards Assembly – honoring 274 award winners Friday Nights Lites Football – very successful for the community Extra – Curricular Activities – full program underway
