Making a 350 yard shot with a 7mm-08 she anchored the Shiras moose which sported trophy antlers measuring over 45 inches in width. The 64 year old grandmother admitted there were some nervous moments while searching the willow thicket to make the final shot. Gramma’s Mega-Moose!  Do you have warm winter clothing that you would be willing to donate or St. Raphael’s to distribute to those in need?  Urgently needed are donations o winter coats,  jackets, vests, gloves, hats and boots or all sizes rom babies to adults. Please bring them to St . Raphael’ s Parish Center this week, any time rom 9am to 4pm or call 263-5553 to make arrangements or a drop oor pick up. I eel the need to clariy some statements made byValley County Deputy Alex Estevesrsquo letter First off you stated that in my flyer there were suchwords as ldquoknowledge integrity and proessionalismrdquo Youwent on to say ldquoFrom my observations with workingwith Mr Horn I do not eel that he possesses any othose qualities and does not portray that in his work as aGlasgow Police Officerrdquo How can you make such an observation i we onlyworked together or approximately 10 minutes Whileyou have approximately three years o law enorcementexperience I have over 25 years two years as a correctionalofficer at a maximum security penitentiary 10 12 yearsas a deputy sheriff as well as 1 12 years as an undercoverdrug enorcement officer And I have over 12 years withthe Glasgow City Police Department plus I am a military

veteran My philosophy that was told to me rom a long-standing well-respected sheriff ldquoreat people the way youwant to be treatedrdquo One o your questions was how to implement a 24-hour coverage o Valley County with an 8-man departmentFirst o all the Glasgow Police Department does this with a7-man department Second o all you canrsquot have the sheriff

Dear Valley County voters I Deputy Wayne Shipp with the Valley County Sheriff rsquosOffice have put fingers to keyboard to attempt to correct aew alse rumors that have been flying around about SheriffGlen Meier and those who work or and with Sheriff Meier First off let me say that running or a political officeshould be very similar to interviewing or a job An applicantmeets with their uture employer in this case the people oValley County and they attempt to put their best attributes and

qualifications orward Te applicants usually have a letter orletters o recommendation rom people who know them andor have worked with them and can attest to their abilities orthe job that they are applying or Te applicants do not saynegative things about the other applicants to attempt to makeup or their short comings I would hope that you could agreewith me that Sheriff Meier has ran a clean campaign and hasput his best attributes and qualifications orward He has notdiscussed active cases on the radio or second guessed anyother law enorcement agencies response to calls or threatsA non-solicited letter o recommendation has been presentedrom some o the people he works with Tese people are theUndersheriff and Deputies o the Valley County SheriffrsquosOffice Please take note that I said NON-SOLICIED Wewere not made to endorse Sheriff Meier in any way nor werewe told that we could not run or Sheriff o Valley County Iguarantee you that I would not work or someone that runsa dictatorship type office and is not willing to listen to myopinion nor would I work or someone who would threatenme with the loss o my employment i I wanted to exercise mydemocratic right

I can also say that Sheriff Meier attempts to spendValley County tax money in Valley County In case you donrsquotknow any and all large expenditure has to be approved bythe Valley County Commissioners prior to the expenditurebeing made Tey run County Government I would hopethat you would agree that tax money should be spent wiselyand at times to the lowest bidder I can attest to the act thatSheriff Meier is quite rugal with county money o my knowledge Sheriff Meier has no plans to resignhal way through his term i he is re-elected I Sheriff

Meier did resign beore his term was comppossibly recommend a replacement but appoint a replacement Sheriff Te replacemCounty Sheriff would ultimately be up to the Commissioners

I would like to address the so called coproblem between the Glasgow PD and the SAlthough I have only been with the VCSO Irsquove been told by the veterans o both offices been better Does the VCSO and the Glaeach other everything each other are doinnot Please take my word or it that the Glathe VCSO do requently work together and

working relationshipI could go on but Irsquoll close with this Lawis not an easy career urnover rates are hcrazy shifs and hours and itrsquos just not the riglot o people Just remember that Sheriff Meiewill work with us and does listen to the UnDeputies who work or the citizens o Vallemay not be perect but who is I know Irsquom noand kids will attest to that act Please keep thin place Exercise your Democratic right an

qualifications orward Te applicants usually have a letter orletters o recommendation rom people who know them andor have worked with them and can attest to their abilities orthe job that they are applying or Te applicants do not saynegative things about the other applicants to attempt to makeup or their short comings I would hope that you could agreewith me that Sheriff Meier has ran a clean campaign and hasput his best attributes and qualifications orward He has notdiscussed active cases on the radio or second guessed anyother law enorcement agencies response to calls or threatsA non-solicited letter o recommendation has been presentedrom some o the people he works with Tese people are theUndersheriff and Deputies o the Valley County SheriffrsquosOffice Please take note that I said NON-SOLICIED Wewere not made to endorse Sheriff Meier in any way nor werewe told that we could not run or Sheriff o Valley County Iguarantee you that I would not work or someone that runsa dictatorship type office and is not willing to listen to myopinion nor would I work or someone who would threatenme with the loss o my employment i I wanted to exercise mydemocratic right

I can also say that Sheriff Meier attempts to spendValley County tax money in Valley County In case you donrsquotknow any and all large expenditure has to be approved bythe Valley County Commissioners prior to the expenditurebeing made Tey run County Government I would hopethat you would agree that tax money should be spent wiselyand at times to the lowest bidder I can attest to the act thatSheriff Meier is quite rugal with county money o my knowledge Sheriff Meier has no plans to resignhal way through his term i he is re-elected I Sheriff

Meier did resign beore his term was comppossibly recommend a replacement but appoint a replacement Sheriff Te replacemCounty Sheriff would ultimately be up to the Commissioners

I would like to address the so called coproblem between the Glasgow PD and the SAlthough I have only been with the VCSO Irsquove been told by the veterans o both offices been better Does the VCSO and the Glaeach other everything each other are doinnot Please take my word or it that the Glathe VCSO do requently work together and
