National Night Out

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

Eagle Harbor is hosting our first National Night out! In an effort to keep our community safe, grab your friend,

family and neighbors and join us and the Clay County Sherriff’s Office at this wonderful event!

Meet your local Deputy Food Trucks K-9 Demonstrations DJ Police & Fire Equipment on display Activities

For any questions or more information, please call Waterfront Park at 904-621-8362.

Little Hats Big Hearts We are looking for volunteers for the American Heart Association. They are celebrating American Heart Month by asking volunteers to knit red hats for all babies born in February at participating hospitals.  They are raising awareness of heart disease, the number one killer of Americans, and congenital heart defects, the most common type of birth defect in the country.

The support from our Eagle Harbor Residents the past two years has been astounding!

If you knit or crochet we are asking you to help us participate in the Little Hats, Big HeartsTM project. They gratefully accept both baby hats and donations of yarn. Little Hats, Big HeartsTM work with both the hospital’s Mother-Baby unit and Neonatal Intensive Care unit, so they need hats in both newborn and preemie sizes.

Yarn specifics:

• red • medium to heavy weight • cotton or acrylic • machine washable and dryable

It is also recommended to use simple hat patterns. While we love bows and buttons, they can come off the hats and be dangerous for the little ones.

All Donations can be dropped off to Waterfront Park by Sunday, December 8th. All precious donations will be shipped off to meet the organization deadline. Please call Waterfront Park at 904-621-8362 if you have any questions or concerns.

Senior Men's Interclub

Any man 55 years of age or older who is a Patron or a GHIN Member of the Eagle Harbor Golf Club is invited to join us.

Each month we field an eight-man team to compete against select clubs in the Jacksonville area over an eleven-month season.

The venues sequence through fifteen or more courses, including neutral (non-league) clubs, such as Deerwood, Palencia, and Ponte Vedra Inn for the season-ending championship.

For further details, please check the

league website at jaxsi.org/index.html.Briefly put, your first three matches

are played off your USGA Handicap Index. Thereafter, like everyone else, you play against a league index based on the best three of your most recent six league scores, adjusted for equitable stroke control. The format is net Stableford, as specified in USGA Rule 32-1b, whereby points are awarded for net scores of bogey, par, birdie, eagle and double eagle: 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 points, respectively.

Each team member plays in a four-

man group with fellow competitors from three different clubs. The pairings are randomly assigned. So, you are as likely to play with a 2 handicapper as with a 30 handicapper. No matter, since everyone is playing against his own handicap, which guarantees a level playing field.

A monthly signup sheet is posted on the bulletin board in the golf shop. A random drawing determines the roster when more than eight players sign up. For more information, call 269-9300!

Monthly at 9 a.m. on Mondays $65 for golf, cart, range balls, lunch and prizes
