In-person registration for 2018 fitness classes starts at 8 am on Tuesday, Oct. 17. If you know a member who cannot be present,

you may register for yourself and that one other person.

We are grateful to the intrepid pioneers (in 270 households) who used our new on-line registration system. Thank you to the volunteers who helped members through the registration process.

If you have already responded to our September appeal, thank you. If you have not yet given, please consider sending a donation today. As you know, it’s the support of members like you that makes all of our programming possible.

THANK YOU, LISA! We have enjoyed many wonderful events over the past eleven years. As if by magic, Lisa Corso created wonderful, festive, tasty events. My does she know how to work a theme!  Were you ever asked to volunteer?  Lisa has been a masterful conductor as many hands moved furniture, stuffed envelopes, washed tea cups and baked cookies. Who would have thought volunteering could be so much fun? With heavy hearts, we wish Lisa well as she enjoys her retirement. Please join us at the Monte Carlo Night on Tuesday, October 24 to give her a great send-off.

Richard Frisch will explore 160 years of the history and a bit of the future of recording and playing sound. Come and learn about the soundtrack of our lives. Learn about the people, their inventions and the companies they created, which made modern recorded sound possible.

unraveling Medicare Friday, Oct. 20, 1 pm

Medicare open enrollment runs from October 15th through December 7th. With that in mind, come learn how a quick review of your Medicare prescription plan by a specially-trained counselor could save you hundreds of dollars and assure that you have complete coverage. Last year, these volunteer counselors saved Ridgefielders over $46,000 in prescription coverage costs. Medicare counselor John Rosa and Karen Gaudian of Ridgefield Social Services will explain the review process and tell you more about Medicare, Medicare Advantage plans, prescription plans, and supplemental coverage.
