Roadway Projects

Phase I • Electrical acceptance is the only outstanding item

remaining on TxDOT’s list for acceptance. Staff waiting for invitation to this acceptance walk-through

Phase II • TxDOT accepted bids in August • Construction scheduled to begin in late November • Duration is 16 months (March 2013)

Phase II – Mary’s Creek Bypass to SH35 • CPE’s new cost for streetlight installation

will save approx. $22,000 • Completed signal pre-emption work south

of FM 518 and 2 intersections • No active work on punchlist work by

• Asphalt overlay between Austin and McLean is 85% complete

• BNSF has relocated and installed the software for their signal house

• TxDOT contractor has pulled all of the necessary conduit for the completion of the pre-emption work

• Substantial completion scheduled for late October • Full opening of SH35 intersection is dependent upon

TxDOT completion of the new signal

Construction Phase III – Morgan to Harkey and CR 89

• Contractor reported completion of punchlist items; review pending

• Engineers working on red-line/record drawings

• All utility conflicts at the intersection of Mykawa and Orange have been resolved

• Traffic signal poles at Mykawa have been installed. The mast arms and signal heads are to be installed by November 18th

• WB pavement completed from Mykawa to ?? • Orange is open to eastbound traffic only

between Hatfield and Mykawa until the end of November at which time the traffic will shift to westbound only.

from TxDOT regarding FM 1128. Design may be revised to reduce impacts to FM 1128 configuration and reduce TxDOT requests for modifications of the ROW

• Enterprise Pipeline completed relocation of 16” pipeline adjacent to Bailey Road

• Held coordination meeting with County to discuss intersection at CR 59

• FM518 intersection delay continues due to contamination investigation

• TxDOT conducting a Phase II ESA; new core samples taken

• Traffic switch to new lanes is being scheduled for late November

• Fiber link between Hillhouse and PSB was completed and tested in early Nov. This will allow the camera data to be viewed by anyone within the City with authorized access

• UV system will be replaced • Scoping design contract with consultant
