Message from the ProducersTo prepare for the 7th annual Best Practices for Oil & Gas (BPOG) conference,

Eventful Conferences conducted their usual trademark research with a host of

customers across the entire value chain. There is little doubt that the market

is in a better place than it was when we met in 2016, even if prices are still not

back up to the lofty heights of $100+ oil. Organizations have battled hard to

survive and thrive over the past 24 months. Many have had to tighten their

belts, batten down the hatches, and sadly cut part of their operations or some

of their people. Not all made it through. Those who did were reminded of the

discipline required. These companies are now seeking growth and want to ramp

back up without adding back the complexity and cost. Growing but keeping

it lean is their mission. At $100 oil, being profitable was mostly a function of

volume. At a vastly reduced price, maximum value per barrel is more to the

point. Companies want to bottle the discipline learned in the downturn and

harness those efficiencies to drive this profitability.

The ticket to success and the agility required to thrive is visibility. Visibility is

a product of quality, trustworthy data. This year’s conference theme is “The

Digital Turning Point”. The time is now and many companies have either taken

the leap to becoming digital enterprises or they have seen the potential and are

on a path to become a digital energy company.

We truly hope you’ll join us in learning from your peers at like-minded

companies and in jobs just like your own. We invite to you invest 3 days with us

to plot or validate your path to a powerful digital energy company. #BPOG as

always features 55 sessions, including 30+ customers sharing their successful

case studies spanning across all industry sub-sectors and lines of business. And

of course SAP will be on hand delivering exclusive future-focused roadmap

sessions covering the tools, demonstrations and tips & tricks your organization

needs to maximize your technology investments. Rounding out the event

are some of the industry’s hottest keynotes, and don’t forget the networking

opportunities! With senior leadership, decision-makers, business process

owners, analysts, super users, support teams, solution providers and more

attending, if you’ve got questions, someone at #BPOG has answers!

We hope the conference continues to deliver incredible value to your

organization and fosters lasting relationships amongst your peers. Eventful

Conferences takes great pride in the events we produce, and we had a blast

crafting this year’s event in collaboration with the entire Oil & Gas community.

We are excited to see you in Houston!
