ANOTHER- IITOEII CASTRO
Dick Castro, Junior member M the 1960 Bulldog squad, is rapidly building himself a reputation as one of the best point-after-touchdown kickers, not only in this area, but in the entire state. He is affection ally referred to by his teammates and fans as "Toe" Castro because of his abilityto "split the uprights".
The nickname "Toe" in the Castro family is not new, however, for as a Sophomore in 1955,older brother Dave had developed his kicking technique sufficiently to be put in a varsity uniform and do the extra-point kicking for the "Parsons Pulverizers".
Dick's record this year has been amazing and with the Bulldogs averaging 5 and 6 touchdowns per game, he has had ample opportunity to, demonstrate his prowess. In 27 attempts invarsity games he has been successful 23 times. In varsity reserve games he has had 9 conversions in 11 attempts.
Not until the Varsity Reserve game with Alleman last week did Dick's accuracy have achance to pay dividends. The Bulldog'Reserves topped the Alleman Reserves 28-26 with the"Toe" having a perfect 4 for 4.
Dick's kicking talents are not confined to PAT's either, for he has been consistently placinghis kick-offs within the 20 yard line of the opponents .~ a definite advantage -to the Bulldogteam. Keep up the good~work-Dick-. - - .... ~

REAL FOOTBALL f~ANS
A new look has been added this year to Bettendorf football - Walkie Talkies. These cameabout completely unsolicited as the result of a good fan asking Coach Parsons if such a set weredesirable. The obvious followed and this fan said he would make an attempt to raise the needed funds.
Shortly after this, John Dreshar brought this set to the Athletic Department. The footballstaff wishes to take this opportunity to say thank you to the following people for their contributions toward the purchase of these Walk ie- Talkies.
