S’mores at the Fire pit: Tokens for $ 5.00 can be purchased at the front desk. Guests who dined in the restaurant are free. Weather dependent.

Quonnie Queen Boat Tours – Enjoy a 30-minute pond cruise on our Elco electric boat. Tours leave from the dock right off our backyard and take in waterfront homes and sweeping salt marshes. (Complimentary to overnight guests at Inn. Others may purchase tickets at front desk for $20 each.)

Naturalist’s Motorboat Tour: Join Capt. Mark for a one-hour exploration of the salt pond in our shallow-draft motorboat. It is an exciting way to explore the lagoon and view wildlife. Trips limited to six. (Complimentary to overnight guests at Inn. Others may purchase tickets at front desk for $20 each.)

Birding by Motorboat: Our shallow-draft skiff is the best way to see shore birds in their wild habitat. We can cover a lot of territory and get within range of a variety of birds. (Complimentary to overnight guests at Inn. Others may purchase tickets at front desk for $20 each.)

Nature Craft: Enjoy these fun nature-themed activities geared toward adults and older children. In October we offer Beachstone Jewelry.

Star Gazing: A big dark sky with lots of stars is a memorable part of the Weekapaug experience. Join the Naturalist after dark to spot the moon and planets through our computerized telescope.

Salt Marsh Stroll: Come walk the edge of the salt marsh with our naturalist and learn about the different plants and creatures that live there.

Birding by Van: Our naturalist conducts a n hour-long tour around local marshes looking for migrating birds.

Check Fish Traps: Our naturalist is monitoring fish traps in the salt Pond as part of a Nature Conservancy research project. Ride along and see what comes up in the pots!

Talking Birds with the Naturalist: Join our naturalist, Capt. Mark, to chat about the birds and wildlife locals around the area.

Radio Control Sailboats: Sail the seas without leaving solid land.. r/c sailboats are fun for all ages. Boathouse

Tour Weekapaug in Electric Car: Take in the views and lovely lanes of Weekapaug in our open-air electric car. Half-hour tour.. room for five passengers.

Naturalist’s Beach Walk: Join our naturalist on an hour-long walk down the barrier beach. He will point out wildlife, interesting plants and landmarks. The beach is beautiful and great for walking throughout the year.

to Newport, RI. Walker’s guide to downtown Westerly.

Printed directions to area attractions are also available at the front desk. Harvest Moon Dinner: Enjoy apple cocktails, hard cider and toast to the moonrise. A three course, family-style feast will be prepared with seasonally fresh ingredients and served in honor of the famous fall moon. After dinner, enjoy s’mores by the firepit. Harvest Moon Paddle: There’s nothing like being out on the ponds at night under the light of a full moon. And this isn’t just any full moon – it’s the Harvest Moon! $20 per hotel guest; $40 per non-overnight guest. Open to people 16 and over with competent paddle skills. Oktoberfest Lunch: Enjoy pumpkin carving and a German/Swiss inspired lunch featuring Bavarian classics with a Rhode Island twist. Rhode Island Off the Beaten Track: October is a beautiful month along our coast and the perfect time to explore the hidden gems of southern Rhode Island. Join us on a four-hour van tour past scenic mills, dramatic rock formations, lighthouses, lovely communities and beautiful beaches. $60 per hotel guest; $75 for those not staying overnight at the Inn.

Printed directions to area attractions are also available at the front desk. Brew Master’s Social Series: - Family style dinner highlighting local breweries and farms within a house-party setting. This month - local favorite, Narragansett Brewery. Oysters & Champagne: The salt ponds along our coast are home to a dozen oyster farms. During this event we will serve a variety of shucked oysters and offer instruction to those who would like to try their own hand at shucking. Oyster appetizers will be passed and our sommelier will offer wine pairings and discuss why certain wines and sparklers go so well with these delectable mollusks.
