In the first two-hour session, using our in-class computers, we’ll go over the tools,

photo enhancements and selecting within an image. Using a pre-chosen set of common problem pictures, you will see what these tools can do. We will also briefly discuss

organizing your photos within Photoshop Elements. In the second two-hour class, we

will continue to expand on using the tools in the program and explore such options

as layers, ways to retouch your photos and making composite images. We will spend time

learning about color correction and some of the magical changes you can perform with

Come to our Creve Coeur location to go through the entire process of shooting in a photographic studio. We will discuss various lighting styles and techniques, preparation, camera settings, lighting accessories and posing. Live models and lunch will be provided over this 5-hour session. If you have or are considering setting up a studio in your home, this is the class for you! Bring your DSLR camera and lenses for use with our lighting systems and live models.

LANDSCAPE & HDR PHOTOGRAPHYCost: $69 Length: 2 hoursThis seminar is a combination of our popular Landscape Photography and High Dynamic Range (HDR) Photography classes. Capturing a wide range of tones in your image is difficult with a digital camera. HDR photography allows you to combine multiple images to gather the proper tonal range in the shadows, midtones and highlights. Our class will discuss the editing process and camera techniques that are used to capture HDR pictures. Landscape photography topics will include composition, depth of field, filters, lighting and locations. Bring your camera to the class; we will discuss various camera settings as well as the different lens choices that are available.

EXPOSURES 101Cost: $69 Length: 2 hoursIn every photograph there are three exposure controls that change both the brightness of the photo as well as the appearance of the photo: shutter speed, aperture and ISO settings. Learning how to adjust them and how they relate to each other is the key to every good photograph. This class will help you under-stand how to use the settings in your camera to solve some of the common picture taking problems encountered when using the auto-matic modes. Topics will include, improving your shooting techniques, depth-of-field, when to use the priority settings, when manual might be the best option and selecting ISO values to improve your shooting options. This class is for the DSLR owner who is comfortable locating the various functions and settings on the camera. If you have not taken the camera specific class on your camera, it is recom-mended that you do prior to taking this class. Bring your camera, a fully charged battery or spares, the manual and any lenses you might have to this two-hour class.

Topics will include, how to get a more professional look with your studio lights, how to recognize good lighting and light modifiers. The class will be held in our studio classroom located in the front of Creve Coeur store.
