About Prim Talent

DETAILS OF THE EXAM

Its our pleasure to inform our esteemed parents and the flag bearer student community that we have introduced

PRIMTALENT OLYMPIADS at our school.

This would be a humble beginning in the direction of making our children expand their horizons and move into a larger arena to test their skills. It’s an effort to promote competitive awareness in students in various areas and skill sets.

We believe, “When in field, move past your limits and boundaries to test your skills. Competitive exams infuse a spirit of healthy competition among the students”.

The knowledge of the students will be tested in the fields of Mathematics, Science, English, Geography and Computer Science.

• Medium of the question paper will be in English only.

• Question paper will have objective type [ multiple choice ] questions only and the duration of the examination will be 60 minutes.

• There will be no negative marking.

• An OMR sheet will be provided to the candidates to mark the answers.

• After the examination, the candidates would have to return the OMR answer sheet to the invigilator.

• Sample Questions for Olympiads for each class are available and can be downloaded from the website (http://www.primroseschools.in/primtalent/).

CYBER: Aims at inspiring ethical and productive use of technology. Helpsyoung ones to get to know the virtues and shortcomings of the cyber worldbeforehand, enhance logical reasoning and develop knowledge on latesttechnological developments.

GEOGRAPHY: Understanding and resolving issues about the environment andsustainable development. Determining where places are, how places andlandscapes are formed. Analysing how people and their environment interact,how a diverse range of economies, societies and environments areinterconnected.

Science Olympiad helps to identify a child’s capability and real potential that may help to survive better in today’s modern competitive world.

It motivates the students to endeavor for better and deeper understanding of scientific facts, so as to enhance their reasoning, analytical and problem solving skills.

It also brings out the areas lacking proficiency so that a proper orientation can be given to improve in that area.

CYBER prim talent

Cyber Olympiad aims at inspiring the younger generation to develop ethical and productive use of technology.

Students should get to know the virtues and shortcomings of the cyber world beforehand. In this view, Cyber Olympiad aspires the students to enhance their knowledge and diagnose the issues related to Computer and Information Technology.

It intends to test the aptitude of the students in the following streams: Logical Reasoning, General Computers and IT Knowledge, Latest Technology Developments.

•Each class will have a separate question paper in all the five subjects.•Class I to III will be teacher assisted paper. The invigilator willread all the questions.•The duration of the examination will be 60 minutes.•Question paper will have objective type (multiple choice) questions only.•There will be no negative marking.•An OMR sheet will be provided to the candidates to mark the answers.•After the examination, the candidates would have to return theOMR answer sheet to the invigilator.

The Registration fee for each exam is Rs.150/- per candidate, per subject. Schoolsmay retain Rs.25 per student towards honorarium of invigilation and for otherexpenses. The list of candidates Class wise and Examination wise along with theregistration fee should be sent to the NPE Olympiads. The list of the Candidatesname should be typed or written in English only. Sample format for the list of thecandidates to be sent by school is:

The Question Paper will be Objective Type with fouroptions for each question. The medium of question paper will be English. OMRsheets will be provided to mark the answers. Each question carries 1 mark.

Any student scoring above 40% will be considered as successful. Thestudents scoring >=80% will be considered as “A Grade”, >=70% as

“B Grade”, >=60% as “C Grade” and >=40% as “D Grade”. The student securingbelow 40% will be considered as “Under Rated”. The maximum marks for eachsubject will be 100%.

All the candidates will be awarded the participation certificate. For each class, the candidates securing “A Grade” will be awarded “Gold Certificate” along with the rank. The top three candidates, for each class, will be awarded with special certificate along with medals.

The results will be announced in 7 weeks of time after the

Examination.
