OCR National Travel and Tourism Unit 12: Assessment Objective 1 Assessment criteria for Unit 12 AO1 PASS You mark the more obvious key features of Yorkshire on your map. MERIT You mark a range of key features of Yorkshire on your map. DISTINCTION You mark a variety of well-chosen key features of Yorkshire on your map. You must include features that you have found for yourself as well as the ones listed in the PowerPoint. Go toand sign in using your Google account.Sign in here Click on the My Maps tab on the left hand side of the screen. Click on Create a new map Type the name of the map into the box which says Untitled. Call it Yorkshire travel and tourism. Click on the unlisted button. Then click on Done. Click on the Edit button. Find the feature on the map (this one is York Minster). Use the search box at the top of the page. Use the bar on the + and line on the left of the screen to zoom in and out. Zoom in for a close up view. Add a placemark to the tourist attraction using the blue bubble icon. Click on the blue bubble, then drag and click to place on your map. Add a title to your placemark. You could also add a description if you wish (this will help you with Unit 12 AO2). Click on OK when you have finished. Make sure you include these as a minimum: Transport: Airports: Leeds Bradford Airport, Robin Hood Airport, Humberside Airport Railway stations: Sheffield, Bradford, Leeds, York, Doncaster, Scarborough, Middlesborough Bus stations: the main bus stations in York, Sheffield, Leeds, Middlesborough Motorways (just label a point on them): A1(M), M1, M62, M180, M18 Ferry terminals: Hull Passenger Terminal Physical features: Rivers: at least five rivers (eg. Nidd, Swale, Ure, Derwent, Ouse) Hills: at least five hills (eg. Roseberry Topping, Ingleborough, Blakey Topping, Great Whernside, Pen-y-Ghent) Coastline: at least five features (eg. Bempton Cliffs, Filey Brigg, Scarborough beach, Spurn Point, Flamborough Head) Cities, towns and villages: include at least fifteen (eg. York, Scarborough, Middlesborough, Whitby, Filey, Bridlington, Malton, Hawes, Harrogate, Staithes, Goathland, Great Ayton, Pickering, Knaresborough, Skipton) Attractions: At least five in each category: restaurants, campsites, hotels, museums, stately homes, golf courses, caves then choose additional categories for yourself
