The NIMS resolution for OCPR is mandated by DHS:Ensure common and proven incident management doctrine, practices and principles are used to plan for, protect against, respond to, and recover from emergency incidents and planned events;

Maintain response operation capable of expanding to meet escalating situation and the ability to integrate resources;

Order and track assets using common resource typing and definitions, and draw on mutual aid agreements for additional assistance;

To provide OCPR management an opportunity to evaluate current response concepts, plans, and capabilities for a response to a levee districts in:

South Lafourche and Terrebonne Parishes.

The focus will be on local OCPR personnel command, control, and coordination, critical decisions, notifications, and the integration of resources.

Emphasize the role of the OCPR personnel and State agencies in response to a levee breech, and examine the processes and decision making involved therein.

Command – roles & responsibilities within OCPR

Control – timely decision-making realistic approach

Review plans for internal and external communications and notifications levee perimeter control, staging of resources, and Incident Command Post in South Lafourche and Terrebonne levee districts.
