Registration informationRegistration begins Monday, April 15All activities will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Most of our activities have limited enrollment, so register early! There are 2 easy ways for you to enroll:

1. Register online. Go to www.oconeecounty.com/ocprd then click “Registration,” or2. Come by Oconee Veterans Park

PaymentWe accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express payments. You may also pay by check or money order. Cash not accepted.

Refund PolicyNo refunds or credits will be granted within 5 days prior to a program draft or session start date. If you request a refund at least 5 days before the program begins, you have two options: (1) Receive an immediate credit for the full amount; or (2) Receive a refund, minus a 25% administration fee. In addition, a credit may be issued in the event an activity cannot be completed due to a documented medical problem. Credits granted may only be used for future OCPRD coordinated programs. Online registration convenience fees are non-refundable.

NeW Summer exploration Art campDescription: Boys and girls are invited to explore a variety of creative projects each week of this mini-art school. Activities will include drawing, painting and mixed media. Each week participants will also work on mural panels that will be installed in one of Oconee County’s parks as a community piece of art for all to enjoy. This is a program offered as a special partnership with Oconee County Recreation & Parks and Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation.

Summer day camp & teen extreme campthe R. e.c.'s Rockin' tour 2013Do you have activities arranged for your children this summer? A FANTASTIC season of activities is currently being planned. We offer opportunities in field trips, swimming, sports, crafts, games, nature walks, and much more! Join the FUN! Weekly sessions will begin Tuesday, May 28 and continue through Friday, August 2. Summer Day Camp will be conducted at Herman C. Michael Park. Teen Extreme Camp will be conducted at Oconee Veterans Park. The day begins at 7:30 a.m. and concludes at 6 p.m.

Summer Day Camp Eligibility – Camp is open to participants who are residents of Oconee County and have turned age 6 on or before September 1, 2012 or will complete Kindergarten during the 2012-2013 school year.

Teen Extreme Camp Eligibility – Camp is open to participants who are residents of Oconee County and have completed 6thgrade by the start of camp. Any participant turning 15 during the summer will not be eligible for any session after their 15th birthday.

Registration Information – Signups will be conducted 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Herman C. Michael Park beginning Monday, April 15 on a first come first served basis until all spaces are filled. Fees: $100 per session. First week’s payment is due in full at the time of registration. A $25 per child, per session, non-refundable deposit is due at registration to reserve any following weekly session. The balance of the weekly fee will be due on the Friday preceding each session for which the child is enrolled.

Start Smart Sports developmental Program Program coordinator: trevor Ross Email: [email protected] program is for boys and girls age 4. Participants work together with their parents to begin developing motor skills such as throwing, catching, batting, and kicking, all of which are basic skills used to play a variety of team sports. Sessions held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-6:45 p.m. at Herman C. Michael Park June 4 – 20. Fee $45.

Integral Hatha Yoga –Incorporates the breath with yoga postures, helping to increase flexibility in the body and tone muscles while decreasing tension and relieving stress. Ages 15 and up.

The Oconee County Parks and Recreation Department, in conjunction with Major League Baseball and Pepsi Cola, will be hosting this competition on Saturday, April 20 at the Bogart Sports Complex from 10:30 a.m. -1:30 p.m. The competition is open to all boys and girls ages 7-14 (Age as of July 17, 2012). Winners from each group (7/8, 9/10, 11/12, & 13/14) will have the opportunity to progress to a sectional, regional, and national competition. No pre- registration is necessary. Mark your calendar now! Oconee County Parks and Recreation and Waugh & Allen present the 9th Annual Movie in the Park. Event is set for Saturday, May 11 at Oconee Veterans Park. Lots of fun activities for the entire family will be starting at 6 p.m. followed by the outdoor movie at 8:45 p.m.

Picnic SheltersThree shelters are available which can be rented for your next party or event! Locations for the shelters are: Herman C. Michael Park, Oconee Veterans Park, and Bogart Sports Complex.

Fitness centerOur fitness center located in the Community Center at Oconee Veterans Park features a wide array of state of the art cardiovascular and weight equipment including single and multi-station trainers. We offer Free Wifi in our Fitness Center. Fitness memberships are required for the exercise facility. Memberships are available for purchase at the Community Center front desk or online.
