Robb Ochs knew the concrete business like the back of his hand by the time he started Ochs Concrete Services, which does business as Ochs Site Services. He knew what customers wanted: a one-stop-shop with superior customer service and attention to detail.

That’s what Ochs customers get and what has allowed the company to grow from scratch in 2005 to more than $5 million in sales today. “We started out repairing cracks in homeowners’ driveways and that escalated into multi-million-dollar contracts,” Ochs said.

Indeed, the company now boasts an impressive list of commercial clients, including The Justus Companies, for which Ochs helped build Bridgewater Apartments. For that project, which ran from late 2013 to late spring of 2015, Ochs poured foundations and slab on grade for 16 apartment buildings and the office/clubhouse, poured all curbs, sidewalks and steps, and moved more than 8,000 cubic yards of fill dirt off the property. It finished off the project with asphalt streets, striping and a walking path.

Robb Ochs said Justus has been a loyal client since 2007 and that president Walt Justus has become a great mentor and advisor.

Ochs client base consists of industrial, office, retail, healthcare facilities and multi-family properties. The company offers a comprehensive assessment of the property, focusing on high-liability trouble spots, preventative maintenance programs, and long term maintenance programs, along with overall improvement and beautification.

Its services include site excavation, drainage improvement, asphalt paving, repair, seal coating, crack seal, concrete repairs, new installation, sealing, striping, and signage and landscape services. Ochs Site Services also offers property assessment services to property owners and managers.

Since 2011, the company has donated or helped raise more than $110,000 for local charities, including Riley Hospital, The Damien Center, Mozel Sanders Foundation and the Ronald McDonald House.
