BRIEF.

Question 3. What have you learnt from audience

feed back?I asked 8 people a few questions after sitting them down and watching my trailer, some

adults, some students and some media students.

6/8 people said they would defiantly tune into The Edge after watching my trailer. The other two only said no they wouldn’t as they didn’t watch any soap operas and stated

that they were not their “cup of tea.”

What is your favourite element of the trailer?

“The Music, how it helps build the tension, and lyrics match up to the storylines.”

“Juicy storylines makes you want to watch more.”

“The Slap”

“How the editing picks up pace as the storyline builds up”

“The title card matches the current E4 brand identity”

Some of the edits contain surrounding/backgrounds which in all entirety are not needed. E.g. grids in the roof

of the restaurant.

What could I have done better?

I changed this for my final cut.

What could I have done better?

“The sequence of edits could be slightly clearer”

“The quality of the image/camera could be better as some of the pictures are not entirely clear, they maybe be

fuzzy or a bit pixelated”

“Edit the music more to allow the characters to be heard

more clearly”

Do you understand what is going on within the storyline and narrative?

Audience feed back from my second rough cut revealed that to a few people the storyline and narrative wasn’t as clear as they would like, this was due to the editing.

The editing was fast pace and switched between all the different scenes in a non-linear order, as this did not work I played around with the order for my final cut and felt a lot happier that my final cut now made much more sense by keeping the cuts

from each scenes closer together.

For example, the relationships between Crystal, Preston and Pandora are now in my final cut shown mainly all together at the beginning.
