The NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue - NYU Langone Health Occupational &
Environmental Medicine Clinic has been in operation since 1991.
Our team includes physicians specializing in occupational medicine, internal medicine and pulmonary medicine, occupational health specialist, ergonomist, as well as an industrial hygienist.
WHAT SPECIFIC SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE?
• Medical clearance for respirator use, and respirator fit test and training
• Medical evaluations following unprotected hazardous workplace exposures such as:
- Asbestos
- Toxic solvents
- Lead
- Blood pathogens
- Formaldehyde
- High noises
- Mercury
• Industrial hygiene services:
- Assistance with OSHA compliance
- Sampling for toxic substances at the worksite
- Assistance with preventing future work-related injuries
- Advice on the right engineering controls for your workplace
- Assistance with implementing an effective respiratory protection program
• Preplacement medical evaluations appropriate for specific job tasks
