On behalf of the Orange County Coalition of Police and Sheriffs (O.C. Cops) , it is my pleasure to informyou of our unanimous endorsement of your campaign for the office of U.S. House of Representatives in

Orange County, District #45 for the June 5th, 2012 California Primary Election!

Based on our comprehensive interview process: your attendance at that meeting; philosophical and personalremarks; record of support for public safety; local recommendations in the jurisdiction from your own Irvine

Police Association (hometown rule); and viable campaign -- have led us to unanimously endorse your 

candidacy. We regret not having a Federal Political Action Committee to also monetarily support your campaign but intend to alert our restricted class of internal membership in the District to also volunteer,

contribute and help your campaign as permissible (from potentially hundreds of Police Officers who live in

the jurisdiction).

We extend our full support for your candidacy so please contact us if we may be of additional assistance as

the campaign progresses (appearances, press quotes, educational materials as permissible, etc…).

You may use the name of “O.C. Cops” immediately (as of receipt of this letter), as an official endorser for 

your 2012 Primary Campaign (and also for the entire year of 2012, if/when a run-off occurs), however, we

simply ask that we receive a copy of each usage of it, on any and all materials for our files. We are

committed to your campaign and want to help in any way possible since you are one of the officially

endorsed candidates for 2012!

Lastly, you may also use and prominently list as supporters/endorsements the additional thirteen (13) names

of all the O.C. Cops Member Organizations individually, as listed on the website www.occops.org under the

“Board” and “Member Associations” tabs or in the footnote below, by the date of Tuesday, May 29th,

2012 (please check with Peter Mitchell on 5/29/12 to re-confirm you may list all additional thirteen (13)

individual members to ensure all are permissible).

We are taking this extra step to show the united and near complete law enforcement support of your campaign from every rank-and-file agency in Orange County – and especially those also located within your 

District, but must allow them extra time as you might understand to run the motions by their own Boards

and/or Political Action Committees.

Hopefully by next Tuesday, you may have up to fourteen (14) additional law enforcement organizations in

total by us to prominently list in your printed materials (OC Cops + 13 others)!
