    Objectives of Obturation

Create a complete seal of the entire rootcanal system by eliminating all avenuesof leakage from the oral cavity or theperiradicular tissues into the root canalsystem.

To seal within the system any irritantsthat cannot be fully removed duringcanal cleaning and shaping procedures.

    Spreader Fit

To check satisfactory apical cleaning andshaping before obturation.

To see if there is enough room forcompaction with the selected fingerspreader. (size: medium fine MF)

Set rubber stop 1-2mm short of FWL.
