• Michelle Forbes-Harper is an educator with more than 30 years experience in a wide variety of schools in Australia and Asia. Michelle recently spent five years as Director of the Visiting Schools Program at the Prem Center for International Education in Chiang Mai, Thailand, where she organised and conducted trips for many thousands of students from schools from around the world. Their programs included community service projects, leadership training, fieldwork in subject areas and sustainable development, adventure and outdoor education and cross-cultural awareness activities. For the past ten years Michelle she has been a consultant , working with corporate and schools staff, as well as specialising in leadership and teamwork training for secondary students.

• Ludovic Odier has been involved in providing corporate training, adventure tourism and events management for schools and corporations through Asia for the past ten years. His company specialises in creative outdoor programs for schools, including artistic, teambuilding, problem solving activities. Ludo has led many school and corporate trips to destinations in South-East Asia. Recently Ludo set up a company to provide assistance to businesses interested in social responsibility & community services.

CHIEF LEARNING FACILITATORS

• Mahesh – has been a consultant in leadership and teamwork for 20 years and a trainer within the corporate environment for over 10 years.His dynamic, activity based training style has also opened the door to him becoming a motivational speaker and professional Emcee for many corporate and public conferences and events.

• His specialisation in facilitating team building, creative thinking and innovation, adventure based learning, and leadership, communication and presentation skills enables him to bring experience and maximisation of participation to facilitate learning to the fore.

• Mahesh challenges mindsets, beliefs and attitudes while supporting positive changes in new behaviours with groups and individuals.

• Vincent – a teacher by profession for 7 years. As a former head of Character Development in an International School, he has organized many holistic and experiential learning programs developing the minds and characters of the future generation in his own unique engaging style which motivates and inspires them. He has successfully run a Student Council program, organizing Leadership training camps to train young leaders. His passionate desire to nurture the future generation is what makes him who he is today. He is a well-trained outdoor instructor for high elements, camp-craft, and a qualified first-aider.

• Dianna Lane - A marine biologist by profession, Diana has been in the Training Industry for 9years . She has trained thousands students on many hundreds workshops and camps: learning journey, field trips, overseas leadership and eco-conservation camps. Diana is also specially trained with a leading accelerated learning company and she excels in skills training, raising self-esteem & confidence Dianna specializes in life-skills training which include motivational leadership & team-building, SQ, EQ courses and Accelerated Learning Speed reading.

Kota Rainforest Resort• The resort has 28 fully furnished, self contained, air conditioned one bedroom chalets, set in a

quiet tropical location. Each unit has a queen sized postal bed overlooking the tropical palm

garden.

Insurance

Communication• This trip is intended to foster independence.

• Children are not allowed to bring mobile phones.

• A School email will be set up to enable us to communicate with you if required (eg if the bus is late).

• Please contact Mr Savvides during the trip (including upon arrival) who will share 1 email on Tues, Wed and Thur to keep you updated.

• An emergency contact number will be given to you nearer the event.

• If medical help is required, parents will be contacted immediately.

General Information

• Mobile phones are NOT allowed for any reason

• Ipads or any gaming / electronic devices are not allowed

• Cameras (not camera phones) are allowed.

• Children may bring a sensible snack and non-fizzy drink for the first

bus journey.

• All food and snacks and drinks will be provided.
