Terry was an avid NASCAR fan. He was preceded in death by his mother on April 9, 2012. He was born on June 4, 1929, to William Emmitt and Josie Peden Hall in Valliant, Oklahoma Doyle married Shirley Applegate on Aug. 30, 1986, in Clarksville. Doyle and Shirley made their home in Swink, Oklahoma until 2012, when they moved to Paris to a retirement village. Doyle served our coun- try in the U.S. Army, where he was a 162nd Triple A Gun Crewman in Okinawa, Japan. After returning from the ser- vice he was employed by the Dierks Company in Wright City, Oklahoma working there until taking a job with the Campbell Soup Company in Paris working until retirement in 1990. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Raymond, Junior and Olen Hall; sisters, Austine Hall and Pauline Setzer; and two stepsons Larry and Gary Applegate. He is survived by his wife, Shirley of the home; one sister Dorothy Franks of Valliant; two daughters, Cathy and husband Buddy Holland and Karen and husband Jeff Jones, all of Paris; one son, Terry and wife Judy Hall of Valliant; one stepson Bobby Applegate and wife Cindy of Queen City, Texas and one step- daughter, Linda Applegate of Bogota, Texas; seven grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren, six step- grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews, a loving caregiver, Erica, his beloved K-9 friend Suzzie and a host of friends. Margie was born June 19, 1945, in Hugo to the late Edd and Lela Crow Brownfield. She became the beloved bride of Chuck Elswick on June 19, 1998. She and Chuck enjoyed traveling the country and find- ing adventure in the everyday. She was a member of the 4th Jackson Street Church of Christ and worked for 16 years at City Medical until her recent cancer diagnosis. Margie was a well-known member of the com- munity and friend to many. She was an avid reader, an expert at drawing people out of their shells, and a devoted mother and grand- mother. Margie was pre- ceded in death by her parents, Edd and Lela Brownfield; her sister, Hazel Moore; and her brothers, Harrall Kelly and Wallace Brownfield. She married John Carter on Sept. 28, 2009, and from their marriage, they had two wonderful boys, Caydin and Braxton; she loved her boys, and they were her life. She was truly a loving wife, mother and daughter. Emily was saved at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Hugo at the age of 8, and she knew the Lord, Jesus Christ. Emily loved to fish, hunt and go mud- ding, but she also loved going shopping. She truly lived life, and she sought to do all she could. She was preceded in death by her grandmoth- ers, Nadine Harris and Katherine Little, and her great-grandparents, Charless and Rose Westbrook.
