Oasis Church Waterloo

Our church community was the founding part of Oasis Hub Waterloo in

2003 and provides most of the volunteer power to make this all possible.

We are a community of ordinary people exploring life together where everyone

is welcomed. Our mission is simply this: To be an example of what an

inclusive community, living Christ’s way, looks and acts like.

Join us on Sundays at the Oasis Waterloo Auditorium

at 11am and 6.30pm.

Oasis Debt Advice Centre

The Oasis Debt Advice Centre exists to ensure that no one in Waterloo struggles alone with debt. It’s a completely free service, where a trained advisor helps a client to understand their debt and work out affordable, worry-free, ways to deal with it. The Debt Advice Centre

is for anyone in debt who would like support. We’ll speak to creditors for you, establish a plan

to deal with your debt, and support you through the process.

We’re also looking for volunteers to train to become debt advisors. We only require a commitment of a couple of hours every fortnight - expertise in maths not required!

If you’d like advice or if you’d like to volunteer, please email [email protected] or call Nathan on 020 7921 4646.

Waterloo Foodbank

Waterloo Foodbank aims to ensure that no one in Waterloo goes hungry. We work with 100 local agencies to provide emergency food to people in need.

Today, too many people in Waterloo struggle to feed themselves and their families. Redundancy, illness, benefit delay, domestic abuse are just some of the reasons why someone might need an emergency food parcel. Foodbank is also for those who’d like to volunteer: There are a number of ways you can get invovled, both during the week and at weekends. If you’d like to volunteer, please email [email protected] The Foodbank is open three times a week. If you need food, you can get one of our vouchers from a number of local agencies, including GPs, social workers, housing support staff, Waterloo Action Centre, or a number of Oasis projects including Oasis Academy Johanna, Oasis Academy South Bank or Oasis Church Waterloo.

Oasis Farm Waterloo

Oasis Farm Waterloo is an acre of land that runs along Royal Street and

Carlisle Lane. Run in partnership with Jamie’s Farm we are transforming

the land from a wasteland site into a productive working farm. The

farm will be a safe, working and learning environment, where

all life - people, plants and animals are nurtured

and valued.

Set up in response to violent crime among young people, Oasis Youth Support, based in St Thomas’ Hospital accident and emergency, offers mentoring to those in a moment of crisis. Victims of violent crime are linked with an Oasis youth worker for tailored long-term support.

If you would like to find out more about the project or are interested in volunteering please email [email protected] or call 020 7188 6490.
