PLC surveys that were sent out to parents and staff of the Grande Prairie School
District. The surveys also contained questions regarding the calendar structure
currently in place. The information was provided to the Board of Trustees for
their consideration regarding possible options to support PLCs in the District and
explore other possible calendar structures. This will be brought back to the
Board as an agenda item in January.

IN ROYAL OAKS SUBDIVISION
In January, a survey will be sent out inviting all of our parents, students, staff, and
community to suggest names for our new K-8 school in the Royal Oaks
subdivision, opening September 2017.
STUDENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE
On November 30th, Carol Ann MacDonald met with this
year’s Student Advisory Committee. The Advisory Committee
is made up of students from Charles Spencer High School, the
Composite High School and the Bridge Network. Mrs.
MacDonald reported that this group of students is diverse,
engaged and eager to share their ideas and thoughts with
Administration. The purpose of the committee is to provide
valuable input on matters that will make our District even
greater. The Student Advisory Committee will meet with the
Superintendent and Director of Curriculum two more times
