Project BriefThe goal of this project was to create a solution to a problem for a person we
chose. We then are supposed to package that solution in both a interesting and
useful way. The goal is to create a composition that is both use friendly and makes
the difference in our persons life and would be able to stand alone on the shelf and
be unique in its style and design. Along with packaging a product we also followed
our chosen person around for a day and created an info graphic that would clearly
demonstrate the problem in their lives that we are trying to fix.

Why do you not want to have to work? Becasue work is stressful
Why is work stressful? Becasue others are telling you what to do
Why do you not like others telling you what to do? becasue I want to do my own thing on my own time

Charts of Dayproblem: to much time studyingsolution: absorbtion of homework into a pill to be taken and absorbed into the brain. This pill would also come with a flash drive where you would tranfer what you need to know and learn on that flash drive.. it would then be shaken up with chemicals that are allready in the pill to create knowledge for your brain and then you would take the pill, which doesn’t taste, and then swallow with no pain and absorb the materials needed where will it be given away? walgreens, walmartwhat does it do, serve or why is it useful? it condenses the amount of time you would have to study while also offering the ability to control what goes into your brain what is it competing against? (energy pills, drinks)what should the package communicate? (suggest) to a college audience that it is safe and usuable for all and it will really work

Problem 2 with day
problem: to much sleep ( but needing too much sleep)solution: is to create a sleeping pill that you will make you increase your sleep hours without actually increase the time you would be able to do more during the day and still rest (what seems like the same)where will it be given away? walgreens, walmartwhat does it do, serve or why is it useful? allows the brain and body to still feel like the whole amount of sleep without sleeping the whole time condense into half the amountwhat is it competing against? (sleeping pills)what should the package communicate? (suggest) to a college audience that it is safe and useble for all and it will really work and allows you to stay up longer and still feel like you have had a whole night rest

Problem 3 with day
problem: wasting time taking notes in classSolution: create glass that can visually copy and hear what is being said and written onto the board unto a com-puter screen. The concept would consist of glasses and a speaker that would be plugged in with a usb cordwhere will it be given away? walgreens, walmart, targetwhat does it do, serve or why is it useful? allow the student to stay focus on what the teacher is saying with-out getting distracted by taking notes and the organization of notes what is it competing against? (recorders)what should the package communicate? (suggest) to a college audience that it is safe and usable for all and it will really work, and allows for the student to be a better student

Brian Kempin’s 24-hour day consists of 11 hours of studying or class time and 10 hours of sleeping leaving only 3 hours for eating and for any recreational time to himself. Brian Kempin is sophomore majoring in pre-pharamcy at the university of Kansas and is trying to maintain high grades, but in result looses all time to do anything else besides study and sleep. Brian would like to be able to do more things with his time during the day then just homework or going to class. A solution to the two problems of needed to spend so much studying and sleeping for so long will be solved by the Powernap. The Powernap is designed to be able to sleep lees hours while allowing the body to still feel like it has rest-ed for longer than it has. The Powernap is also included with built in headphone and a usb chord to have the capability for Brian to listen to his lectures while in sleep to combine two tasks into one and still using half the time, allowing Brian to be able to still get good grades be rested and still have time to hang out with friends, work out, and enjoy college.

Project OverviewThis project brought many challenges to the table. First creating a solution for a
problem with a person was challenging in thinking outside the box in what needed to
be done to enhance their lives. After creating that project then comes the brand-
ing and naming and designing of the project and the packaging as a whole which was
challenging in that I have never done the whole gig before and it brought questions
into detail about how something would look next to other things and then in multi-
ples as well as how my product compares to competitors projects. I used wood for
my packaging material because my package needed to be kept with the product and
it looks more sophisticated then just metal or plastic. Wood is also a biodegradable
resource that could go along with the natural side of my project. This project was
set over the course of about a month and a half and it was time consuming but the
finish result is one that I am proud of.
