Friday 17th September – last day of school for Term 3 –
Footy Colours Day!
Just a reminder that school will finish at 2.30pm next Friday
for on-site students. We are encouraging students at home
(for their 9.30am meeting) and at school to wear their footy
colours on this day!
Planning Day
Next Thursday 16th September teachers have their planning
day. Casual Relief teachers will be teaching students who
are onsite. Students working remotely will have their
9.30am daily check in with me on the Principal’s page on
Teams, and will complete their work as usually via teams or
hard copy as arranged with their classroom teacher.
Naplan
Congratulations to our Year 3 and Year 5 students on their
excellent achievements at NAPLAN this year, particularly
after remote learning! We have numerous academic areas
where our data shows students working well above the
expected level and also above the state average. This
showcases the fantastic efforts by our students, and the
support from our teachers, education support staff and
parents over the last 18 months.

R U OK? Day!
To celebrate R U OK? Day, the staff at KPS have prepared a
happiness bag for every child. We know that it hasn't been
easy for students and also for parents during this time, so
we hope the 'happiness bag' brings a smile to every child.
These bags will be put inside the foyer (due to the wind
today) at the front entrance of the school for collection
today.
YOGA – Principal’s Hours – Tomorrow Friday at 12.30pm
We are so lucky to have Clare Roberts run a YOGA session
tomorrow at 12.30pm via Teams. Students are to click on
the Principal’s room!
Julie Stott - Leave
Julie Stott our Italian and PE teacher will be taking leave
next term. She will be taking a well-deserved break! We
look forward to her return next year. Alex Mercuri will be
taking PE, and Amanda Hull will be taking Visual Arts next
term. Amanda is a very experienced visual arts teacher and
we are very lucky to have secured her.
Mulch & Rocks
We are having a delivery of rocks for the front garden and
the succulent garden on Friday. If you have time over the
holidays and can help with distributing it that would be
wonderful!
All library books need to be returned to school so can

Good morning and Happy R U Ok day. For those of you who may not know me, I am the Chaplain/School Counsellor at Kinglake Primary School. I have attached a relaxation technique document for you to have a look at and hopefully incorporate into your day and beyond. So remember to be kind to yourself and it's OK to be human with flaws and all.
