This programme provides new materials and activities for 2014 and builds on the success of the original ESCO experience. Transformational leaders are creative and innovative; they have the ability to learn from their own experience, anticipate and support change and mentor transformation in others.

Observe and learn from colleagues with diverse experiences and styles but with something in common; you all want to become a leader who makes a diff erence.

The experiential learning environment created on this programme allows participants to experiment with their leadership approach, observe other participants’ leadership styles, refl ect and act on best practice.

Designed forExperienced managers from all sectors, suitable for managers and team leaders who desire to strengthen people management skills and become transformative leaders, mentors and innovators in the workplace.

Jack Mezirow, Emeritus professor of Adult Education at Colombia University describes transformational learning as, deep learning that goes beyond just content knowledge acquisition.

It is a process of active engagement, refl ection and critical thinking which allows participants to reframe and transform practice. Eff ective leaders are change agents who inspire transformation and lead by example. This programme provides an environment to develop transformational leaders.

Intensive Programme Overview Engage in an intensive five days of learning and identify how to manage diversity, workplace change and strengthen people engagement.

Learn through ‘hands-on’ experience in an environment where diff erence is valued and diversity is embraced.

Apply case studies, syndicate work, practical assessments to strengthen your capacity as an agile, creative and effective leader. Enhance your communication skills and ability to work with others. Targeted coaching on a one-to-one basis throughout the programme ensures that new learning is embedded in the practicalities of each person’s work environment.

Pre-course requirements: A self awareness instrument is to be completed prior to attendance on the programme.

Participants must be available from 8.30am to 6.30pm daily Monday to Thursday and on Friday, 8.30am to 3.00pm.
