Thank you from the Emergency Department at NYU Langone Cobble Hill.
Our capabilities are similar to those of a high-quality community hospital emergency department. As is the case nationwide, most patients who go to an emergency department are able to be diagnosed, treated, and discharged home. For patients requiring hospital admission, we diagnose, treat, stabilize, and then transfer
via ambulance to the hospital of the patient’s choice. Currently, many of our patients have chosen to be transferred to NYU Langone Medical Center or Lutheran Medical Center, or to other hospitals in Brooklyn.
