WOOLWORTHS CRICKET
Dear Parents/Carers,
Welcome to Term 2. It has been a pleasure to have all students return
to Nyngan PS this week. Over the course of home-schooling Nyngan
PS has welcomed many new staff and students to Nyngan PS. We
trust that you are all enjoying your time in Nyngan and that your
children have made many new friends this week, as students return.
I would like to congratulate Samantha, Harrison and Mila McInerney
on the arrival of Tate. Congratulations! We look forward to meeting
Tate in the near future.
I would like to welcome Michael Barrett who has commenced as
class teacher on Year 5. Michael, Kathryn and their daughters Rosie
and Piper are settling into life in Nyngan.
Nyngan PS has also welcomed Miss Viv Elder who will be working
at Nyngan PS each Tuesday and Thursday, welcomed back Mrs Bell
and Miss Atkinson who will be back at Nyngan PS 1 or 2 days per
week. Mrs Lyndal Cleaver will be at Nyngan PS each Thursday, Mr
Pascoe on a Tuesday and Friday and Mr Wah from time to time. The

to school.
We have been grateful to Aimee Robb and Jess Reidl who have
joined us on staff as Mrs Shields has taken leave to welcome her new

IMPORTANT DATES
NATIONAL SORRY DAY
National Sorry Day, or the National
Day of Healing, is an annual event
that has been held in Australia on
26 May since 1998, to remember
and commemorate the mistreatment
of the country's First Nation
peoples, as part of an ongoing
process of reconciliation between
the first nations peoples and the
settler population.
On Tuesday our students decorated
a hand with words or pictures that
represent reconciliation. The hands
will be made into a school display.
NATIONAL SIMULTANEOUS STORYTIME
On Wednesday, Kinder enjoyed Miss Wallwork reading them the
book Whitney and Britney Chicken Divas written and illustrated by
Lucinda Gifford. A big thank you to Maria from the Bogan Shire
Library for supplying Kinder with the wonderful book and activities.
The students had a great time colouring in and cutting out their
chickens.
