TECAST VEKTON(Cast nylon)TECAST VEKTON cast nylon,available in a variety of grades,offers a combination of goodmechanical properties, excellent bearing and wearcharacteristics, and the large-size capabilities of the castingprocess. Its fatigue resistance,noise damping ability, corrosionresistance, and light weightmake TECAST VEKTON idealfor metal replacement applications, such as bearings,gears, sheaves, and sprockets.

At one-eighth the weight ofbronze, TECAST VEKTON iseasier to handle and maintainthan metals such as iron, aluminum, brass, and bronze,which it typically replaces inindustrial wear applications.

Other materials that TECASTVEKTON commonly replacesbecause of its superior performance are laminated phenolics, elastomers, andwood.

TECAST VEKTON has

excellent wear and abrasionresistance, resulting in extended component life andlower maintenance cost. Itsformulations are readily avail-able in rod, plate, and tube.Nonstandard shapes, such asrings, discs, and blocks can beeconomically produced in smallquantities with short leadtimes. Custom parts can becast-to-size or near-net-shapewith relatively inexpensive tooling.
