In a constantly evolving business environment, leading companies understand that continuous development of their most important asset, their people, is the key to success. Professional education, at the highest levels, can help businesses to evolve, transform and stay ahead of the competition.

NUS Business School is known for its world-class international faculty, high impact research, spirit of enterprise and innovative teaching. As Asia’s Global Business School, we focus on helping our Executive Education participants gain conceptual understanding and practical knowledge of global and Asian businesses. Our faculty has vast experience in researching and consulting with organizations across Asia and the world, and has helped leaders and senior managers enhance skills, develop strategies and create innovative solutions.

Our Executive Education programs are carefully designed to stay ahead of business trends. Through an integration of classroom teaching, case studies, small group discussions and networking sessions, our participants get the most out of their lessons from interacting with faculty as well as with peers from different countries and industries. We also run many customized programs, which are tailored for our clients’ unique business contexts, complex issues and challenges. Our programs have been delivered around the world and we will continue to grow as we develop our global connections.

Global corporations turn to NUS Business School to prepare their senior executives to drive change and transform their organizations. I invite you to partner us in forging ahead and breaking new grounds.

Singapore’s diverse multicultural society, stable economy, business-friendly environment and exponential growth over the last few decades have enabled it to grow into one of the most cosmopolitan states in the world today.

Not only has Singapore gained international recognition for being a key regional trading centre, the world’s busiest port, and a top location for investment, it is also known for being a leading international financial centre, with more than 500 of the world’s largest and most reputable financial institutions operating on the island. In addition, Singapore is the fourth largest foreign exchange trading centre in the world after London, New York and Tokyo.

One of the most connected cities in Asia, by air, sea, as well as telecommunications linkages, Singapore has attracted 7,000 resident multinational companies and 100,000 enterprises to become part of it’s vibrant, dynamic business environment. It is also home to Marina Bay Sands and Universal Studios - Resorts World, two of the largest integrated resorts in Asia.

Our Learning Philosophy 学习理念

NUS Business School is renowned for its academic rigor, enterprising research and its teaching excellence. Within this context, faculty who teach in our Executive Education programs calibrate their content and facilitation for high-powered executives who seek current and applicable knowledge in our ever-evolving business landscape.

Utilizing a blend of case studies, business simulations and role plays, the content is delivered and facilitated in an experiential format. Peer learning and cross-cultural sharing is also a key feature of our knowledge acquisition process with the use of small group discussions, projects and presentations. The content addresses the current marketplace realities as well as future requirements and trends that can affect competitive advantage.

A variety of assessment and profiling tools are also integrated into the programs to provide a multi-dimensional learning experience for each participant. Self-reflection is a key element in this process and external facilitators work with participants to provide impartial and objective assessments and action plans.

This blend of cutting-edge learning and knowledge acquisition methodologies is what differentiates the NUS Executive Education experience.

“The program exposed me to new issues and trends in management. The participants were from different countries in the world and there was sharing of experiences and active exchange of ideas and opinions. To those in a position to attend the program, I recommend that you do. It is a must. You will not regret it. I am speaking from experience!”

Jorge SarmientoPast Deputy CommissionerNational Telecommunications CommissionPhilippines

“Although I had prior business education, the program proved excellent for me. I learnt additional things in various areas such as finance, strategy and supply chain. The interaction with high quality participants from other countries proved extremely useful to me. I would recommend the program to anyone who wants to sharpen their business skills and learn additional insightsabout the business arena in the Asia Pacific.”

Harald BiederbickDirector, Corporate FinanceRKW SEGermany

“I found this course to be extremely enriching. All of the case studies, simulations, exercises and classes were all relevant to what we are currently doing. I would highly recommend the course to anyone at the senior level who wants to upgrade their business knowledge. It has been a great experience. I’ve made a lot of good lasting friendships.”

Ooi Suan KimPrincipal O S Kim & AssociatesMalaysia

“In our day-to-day work, we normally get very specialized in our functions and we lose track of the bigger picture. This course has a rigorous yet fun curriculum that has taught me to think strategically. Doing business in Asia is very different from doing business in other parts of the world, and this course gives you a deep insight into why you will be successful or why you will lose in Asia.”

“I came to this course to get a better understanding of doing business in Asia, having come from a company in the UK. In actual fact, it was more about learning general business practices that can be implemented anywhere. So it was effective and I’ve learnt things in the past two weeks that I can implement straightaway in my business.”

Gavin WardDirector of Asia (ex Japan)CMC Markets Singapore

“These two weeks have not been easy. We had lots of readings. However, it was a very enriching experience for me, exchanging many ideas and thoughts with participants from different backgrounds in a very collaborative class. I truly enjoyed it and it helped me to crystallize what I’ve been thinking about throughout my career.”

Reiko OgataChief ConsultantDentsuJapan

“The reason I attended this course is that I wanted to interact with senior executives in the region and get insights into recent developments in international management, especially from an Asian perspective. For those of you who are considering applying, I definitely say go for it because of the experience you will have here, not only with the faculty from Stanford and NUS but with the participants you will meet. I really feel lucky to be part of this great journey.”

Hiroki HayashiVice PresidentNLI International Asia Singapore

“This program is very good. For me, it’s been 12 years since I finished my MBA. It was really nice to come back and learn what is changing in the environment. The course content was excellent and I can go back and implement some of the new ideas that I’ve learnt.”

“At this time, the world has changed and there is a need to look at what is changing in businesses and the new dynamics occurring. I was looking for a program that would cover this in two weeks. It is one of the best programs I have attended. The program gave me an understanding of new business perspectives, new dynamics emerging today, various business scenarios and knowledge of the way the world is changing. What I’ve achieved in the last 10 days has exceeded my expectations and I would recommend all leaders to attend it.”

Jaivinder Singh GillExecutive DirectorLenovo IndiaIndia

“I took this course because I needed to know more about Asia and the future. NUS was the only university that was offering this Asian business program. All the Professors were great. They knew a lot about Asia and also Europe and the US so I could learn a lot about the diversity of business in the world. Also the other participants had enough experience to share in the classroom. There was a lot of discussion and interaction. So if you are facing some issues or difficulties, come to this course!”

“It’s been a wonderful experience. I have had the pleasure of attending some business schools’ executive development programs, but this time I could get a perspective of not only an organization’s internal workings, but also perspectives of business in the Asian context. It is a very useful course for me and I hope that the takeaways from this course will not only help my company but also sister companies within the group.”

insights for Business success in asiaAsia, home to 60% of the world’s population, has

been growing faster than any other region in the

world. It is rich in natural resources, and had the most

advanced economy on earth for much of recorded

history. Following the global financial crisis in 2008,

Asia has taken on added significance as a growth

driver for the world.

However, businesses have often struggled to

understand and develop good strategies for breaking

into and growing across Asia. Its wealth and potential

varies widely across its region due to its vast size, and

range of cultures, languages, government systems

and business environments.

This intensive five-day program aims to provide

participants with an understanding of the competitive

strategies for major markets and industry dynamics

across Asia – giving participants the edge to devise

effective business strategies to grow and expand

their businesses in Asia. In addition to the highly

interactive group discussions with participants from

various continents, industries and companies, this

program will also challenge participants’ thinking

on strategic skills and develop better understanding

of how cultural differences affect business. In five

days, the program takes the participants through

the critical elements for business execution in Asia.

Special attention will be paid to the challenges of

business in China, India, Japan, Korea, Singapore,

Thailand and Vietnam.

National University of Singapore (NUS) is home to

some of the world’s most respected faculty, who

are focused on researching and developing strategic

thought leadership on Asia. The program is taught

in Singapore, a cosmopolitan gateway which is
