Intent to Contribute Statement:Two focus areas:
1. Building staff morale through helping and improving trusting care relationships. When we
care for each other, we can better care for patients. Caring Committee developed staff
birthday calendar and potlucks, cards sent to staff in times of need and promoted second
nurse at deliveries for support. Members of Caring Committee participated in annual skills
days and supported other staff in developing and training teams.
2. Improve service scores by improving trusting care relationship; focusing on patient input.
Caring Committee developed badges asking for input and discussed plan with staff.
Monitoring scores for improvement. Doctor and nurse see laboring patients together and
discuss plan as situation changes continuing to build trust with family.
