• nurs* for publication title• ProQuest login info in Learning Resources

Group• Start with an Advanced Search in ProQuest• Boolean operators – AND (includes terms), OR

will use either term, NOT (excludes terms)

Advanced Search

Enter terms, check “peer reviewed” (do NOT check “evidence-based resources”), and enter date. Place cursor in search bar underneath “nurs*” bar then click on “Thesaurus.”

Can browse terms, or enter terms and click “Find.”

Click “search.”

• Click “scholarly journals.”• To modify search, click “modify search.”

• Takes you back to Advanced Search screen. • Erase your evidence based resources subject terms.• Click on Thesaurus.

• Entered my term – randomized controlled trials – and clicked “Find.”

• Click on the blue term for a menu of terms to select (notice no box to check next to the term, so you must click it).
