Nuneaton and Bedworth Healthy Living Network Environmental Policy 1.Policy Aims The aim of this policy is to ensure that Nuneaton and Bedworth Healthy Living Network (HLN) delivers services in an environmentally sustainable manner, and improves environmental performance through continuous review and improvement. HLN also aims to ensure that it complies with all relevant environmental legislation and regulations. 2.Strategy 2.1 HLN will adopt the following strategy to achieve it’s aims. HLN will; -Minimise waste by reducing paper consumption and recycling or reusing packaging and other materials, including envelopes, IT equipment and furniture -Reduce and prevent pollution e.g.by reducing emissions from transport -Reduce the use of energy by adopting “switch off” practices, use of timers where possible, and ensuring heating and cooling systems are well maintained -Seek to use suppliers which demonstrate sound environmental practices and encourage suppliers to uphold similar environmental standards -Promote the use of public transport by volunteers. 2.2 HLN will raise awareness, encourage participation and train employees in environmental matters, initially through the employee induction process. 3. Environmental Policy

1.Policy Aims

The aim of this policy is to ensure that Nuneaton and Bedworth Healthy Living Network (HLN) delivers services in an environmentally sustainable manner, and improves environmental performance through continuous review and improvement. HLN also aims to ensure that it complies with all relevant environmental legislation and regulations.

2.Strategy

2.1 HLN will adopt the following strategy to achieve it’s aims. HLN will;

3. Other Matters

3.1 This policy and procedure can be provided in large print, and can be translated on request.

3.2 This policy will be kept under continuous review and will be updated at periodic intervals of not less than 2 years.
