Comments: Lee explained all aspects of the work and potential issues, though there were none. Excellent job of repair and re-decoration of hall area affected. Work carried out as planned and area left clean and tidy.

Total cost of work: £1800 Description of work: Replace tape throughout house, replaster over to fix sections, fill in holes and cracks in walls, paint various rooms. Comments: Constantly had to advise areas missed. 1 room turned into a disaster, had to be replastered and areas continually not fixed. Missed walls and sections of woodwork in rooms. Decided to finish the missed bits myself. Cracks still visible on walls and the replastered/fixed tape is coming away so not fixed as I expected it to be. Main problem was that it was a big job and I think too big for 1 person to do. 1 room was done really well and was happy with that but issues in other 4 rooms that I had to finish up.

Total cost of work: £640 Description of work: Completely strip old artex ceiling and replaster. Full replaster of all 4 walls of room. Return to tape and prep partition wall and apply first coat of paint to walls originally plastered and ceiling. Comments: The plaster/painting work was of a VERY high standard. One wee niggle which was a mix up in the agreed price, so the job cost us £40 more than we originally thought (note to self - get it in writing in future!) Other than that, comms & punctuality were fantastic and they were so so close to getting a 10 on tidiness, just a sweep round at the end would have done it! I'd happily use them again and have no hesitation recommending them.

Also kitchen painted – kitchen had been replaced so a lot of re-plastering. Comments: Was very pleased with exterior and kitchen. Have had lots of positive comments from neighbours. Painter worked around weather very well. Very neat and tidy job. Was very happy to leave in house when I was at work.

Total cost of work: £2500 Description of work: Erection of new livingroom ceiling (23 feet by 12 feet) (joiner). Plastered and taped and coving, strip wallpaper, paint 3 walls x2 and ceiling and paper main wall. Comments: Alex Cook from Nu-Walls was a great help to us after a bathroom leak left us with having to replace our livingroom ceiling. He was true to his word on everything and managed to work around other contractors who changed their starting date. Excellent job.

Total cost of work: £2600 plus £417 for extra materials. Description of work: Paint external harling on bungalow – all walls except one elevation. Comments: Work started quickly after quotation but progress very slow. Work started 28 May and ended 5 August – 10 weeks, on which painter appeared 8-10 days or part days (mainly weekends). Alec (Nu-Walls) passed work to a subcontractor and didn’t do any of the work himself, or phone/visit to check progress. Alec tried to blame progress on the weather, but weather pretty good really.
